If you roll over the $7000 negative equity, that is coming out of your pocket over the next three years. That's money you could spend on maintenance.

The residual isn't 54% for 24/15.
59% or 52% for 24/36 mo, 15K/yr

I'd verify the term and mileage they are quoting, because the prices don't add up for 24/15.

24/15: 59% residual. $378/mo.+tax
36/15: 52% residual. $328/mo.+tax

Once you get their numbers straightened out, note the difference in payment between 24/36 months. 36 months is a lot lower.

I don't know about better, as in cheaper. But, maybe a little cheaper, and definitely more bang for your buck.
The lower residual is going to take back some of that extra $2000 in incentives, and the higher starting price will take some more.

So.i has to quit shopping, although I have a perfectly paid Honda Lease, my scores were just too low for Honda. The best deal I found was 349 a month with first months due @ 28706 OTD, Morganton Honda in NC.

I will try again around the summer, lease ends I. August.

I wonder if the payment may also have to due with the remaining lease payments on your current lease. They don't just go away - often they are added into the new deal.
