Would this be good lease deal for 2018 Honda CR-V EX from dealer. They are saying it would be $388.00 for monthly lease payment for 36/12 lease. This would be nothing down and monthly amount includes all taxes, reg fees, doc fee, etc. Sales tax in my area in 7%. Would like lower payment, but if this is good deal not sure if they would come down anymore. Thanks

Adjusted CAP would have to be around $29K to get that payment.
Adding tax, acquisition fee and dealer/DMV fees, that looks about right.

Not a bad deal from the dealer, but that lease program isn't great.

Lease term and miles per year?

Without that information, we can only guess at how good or bad that quote is.

Do you have positive equity in your trade? Is that why the CAP cost is less than the sale price?

If you pay something upfront, by definition, it shouldn't be in the payment.

If $24,804 is the actual adjusted CAP cost, then your payment seems high.

No unfortunately the trade was upside down. I am paying the rest of  trade in loan out of pocket..  they are giving me 8,000 and they said that would equal a 850 credit.

Sorry if I’m new to this. I went ahead and got the financing on the new vehicle through my bank. My question is if I am trading in my car that is upside down and they are taking the money owed to my other bank.  And sending them the full amount. Can I use that money I am giving them to buy down the rate? Can you buy down rates? They won’t let me pay the upside down money to original bank? Any help is appreciated.  Do I have to tell the bank chase about the old car? Or go financing thru them an request a better rate because I am buying down if that is possible

They've added the negative equity to your balance. So, you are paying it, either way. They have to fully pay off your old loan to get the title to it. So, you don't have to worry about that part.

If you are borrowing $29K, then you have to come up with $4503 at signing, right? Effectively, you are paying off your negative equity upfront, then borrowing the full purchase price on the new vehicle.
