Can I please get numbers for the 2018 Tacoma TRD Offroad double cab short bed in zip 20746 for 36/12 or 39/12. Auto.

Also same for the TRD sport.

    Assuming automatic:
    36/12
    74%/73% residual for Offroad/Sport
    .00225 MF

39 month residuals are 2% lower.
Thanks for this. So I went to dealer and they wouldnt give me the MF they were using. But with 1,000k down at signing and residual at 27,040, they quoted me roughly $470 a month.

Vehicle was a 2017, auto with tech package. What would I need to negotiate to get this vehicle down to mid/high 300's? I see everyone getting the best rates around $350-400 a month.

I even tried to do MSDs but they didnt factor it in the quote and wouldnt give it to me. My credit score is roughly 750-770. I am not new to leasing, but never seem to how to use the numbers provided here to negotiate a better deal. Any advice appreciated.
One problem you have with comparing monthly payments is that MD taxes the full selling price on a lease. So, about $60/mo. tax vs. $20-$30/mo. tax in a state that just taxes the payment.

On a $37K unit, with a $2000 discount from MSRP, you should be looking at about $375/mo.+tax, with $1000 due at signing. In MD, that puts you around $435/mo.

Thank you so much for the information . It is very interesting. So maybe then I will check out Virginia, because that $375 + tax is around where I want to be. When negotiating, which number am I more concerned with? The MF or residual?

Also, would be the lease numbers for same vehicle in 22305. 2017 Tacoma off road - 36/12 for auto transmission.

The residual is fixed by TFS, and is national.
The Tacoma gets the standard MF which is .00225. That's also national, but dealers could mark it up. Of course, that will be readily apparent by the payment.
You have to pay sales tax in your home state, no matter where you buy the vehicle.

Looking for lease numbers on a Tacoma TRD Offroad 4x4 auto (7544). 24m/12k and 36m/12k.

How does the 2018 numbers compare to the numbers on the same truck for a 2017 model?

Same MF for both years, and any difference in the residual should be made up for by a better selling price on the 2017.

What cab style are you looking at?

For those who have access to a dealer or dealer group that contracts with US Bank I helped a friend close a deal on a Tacoma a few weeks ago, purchased from a dealer in Columbus, OH. If you're looking for terms that combine a reasonable money factor, compared to TFS or other 3rd party lenders, and a high residual I don't think you can do much better. The MF has also risen over the past several months as well. At one point it was as low as .0120, or so I was told.

Hope this helps others who are open to a manual and potentially needing to travel for the right deal.

2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab - Manual
MSRP: $36,627 (accessories included I think were TRD shift knob, tonnau cover, mud guards, and all weather mats)
    Sale Price: $34,119
    MF: .0180 (US Bank)
    RV: 82%
    Term: 36 months, 10K/year
    Acq. Fee: $695

Payment worked out to be $275.XX/month. Due at signing was ~$675 which included doc fee, 1st pmt, and DMV fees.

Hi everyone. Been on this thread a few times looking to ensure I get the best deal. Working on closing out on one and wanted to see how this looked.

    Annapolis, MD
    36/12K per year
2018 TRD Cement Grey - Sport Double Cab 4x4 with Tech, Tonneau cover and Premium Sport Package
    MSRP: $42,282.00
    Agreed upon price: $39,330.00
    MF: 0.00195
    Residual is 73%
Due at signing: $1500 + 465.45 (first months payment)
    Payments: $465.45

Is this a good deal? Has a few more extras that jacked up the price, like wheel locks, predator tube step, door edge guard and All-weather Floor liner.

Do you have the adjusted CAP cost?
Is that the factory MSRP, or is that including dealer installed extras?

You have a lot working against you.. Heavily optioned vehicle, dealer installed options and Maryland sales taxes. Though, this is the first time I've seen a money factor under .00225 on the Tacoma.

Agree. I just wanted the sunroof and leather seats haha. Seems this has an addition 1k in unneeded options, like the door edge guard. He mentioned for the money factor, they had to work some magic. This is without a need for MSDs.

I've attached all the numbers because I couldnt tell which was the cap value based on how this was laid out. I believe it is the $38335.

    .

    1) $42,473 is your adjusted CAP

    2) $995 for GAP insurance is ridiculous. When I leased our Tacoma this past summer, they started at $695, and dropped and dropped, and dropped. Eventually, he said: I want you to have GAP insurance. It's too big of a risk without it. I'll sell it to you for my cost - $225.
I didn't take it, because mine was a USBank lease, and GAP was already included. TFS is one of the few banks that doesn't include GAP. Now, the price could be higher now, and your vehicle is about $5500 more expensive, but if you want GAP, your price should be around $300, tops. (and, yes... it's negotiable, no matter what they say). If they stick to $995, just go without.

    3) How did they get from $38,335 as the sale price to $39,330 as the TTL SELL? At first, I thought it was the $995 GAP insurance, but that's added again farther down. Is it for the accessories? Man, that just kills the lease price. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Predator steps, too (and, I ended up buying them), but $995 adding $30/mo. to your payment.

The payment calculation is correct. The biggest issue is the GAP insurance. The price, even with accessories, isn't bad. GAP insurance at a reasonable price ($300) would lower the payment by $20/mo.

He kept saying that they couldnt take the GAP off and that it was built in. Its how Toyota and lexus do it. I wonder if thats where the money is being made. The GAP is being charged twice. The accessories are built into the MSRP. Dealer/delivery fee maybe? What do you think?

Thanks so much for the feedback. Yeah, that is also what my friend was saying. The GAP is something that can be negotiated. I do like some of the features, but not all. Im more in love with the color option and the sunroof/leather seats. Everything else I can get much cheaper and DIY. Like, they added $80 wheel locks and the $650 Tonneau Cover. I will try to negotiate the GAP down to cost. Thanks for that huge TIP!

I'm guessing the addition up top of $995 is for dealer installed accessories, and the other $995 is for GAP.

TFS doesn't include GAP (but, Lexus does). However, the price is definitely negotiable, and if you don't want it, you aren't required to purchase it. No matter what they say.

Of course, that doesn't mean they have to sell you the vehicle, either. But, your big discount keeps getting smaller and smaller, the closer you look at the numbers.

Thanks for all your help! I was not able to negotiate or remove the GAP from the 2018 Tacoma deal. The guy said it was their final offer and no further movement on negotiating the truck price could be made. I could either walk or pay the price, which is basically what he said. Then pointed me to such a great Money Factor that I was getting. He had no problem selling it to someone since its not a hard truck to sell.

Oh also, the $995 we were discussing was for freight cost.

I can't find any information on money factor and residual for a 2018 Tacoma TRD OR 4x4 for a One-Pay option. 36 months - can you help? 76148 is the zip code - Dallas/Fort Worth, TX.

72% residual for 36/15, assuming automatic

We don't have the money factor reduction for the One-Pay lease, but it's likely in the .00060-.00080 range (deduct from .00225).

A long time ago, the One Pay reduction was .00100, but I haven't seen anything on it, recently.
