What qualifies someone for fleet discount? Is there a drive test credit program out there, and where?

This is news to me and it may help the deal I'm working on, IF it is BMWFS that is waiving the $925 AF?
If the dealer is eating it (coming out of dealer profit) then it may not do any good for me to bring it up during negotiations. But if it is waived by BMWNA, then it's potentially a win/win.

Here is what I have so far... Base MY18, i3 REx,
MSRP $49295
Dealer - $3500 about 7% is still in negotiations, I'm shooting for more.
LeaseC- $7500
Loyalty -$2000
MF .00166 less .00035 (7MSD's)=.00131, AF $925, 8.75% tax 24mo/15K should be around $308 mo. inc tax with 1000 down/cap dedution.
If I do the .00206 MF (less MSD's) and no AF payment would drop to $293mo. inc tax.
I am a BMWCCA member already but used my annual rebate on a MY19 X3 M40i.

Acquisition fee waiver bumps MF by .00050
So, 0.00166 + .00050 = 0.00216
It is BMW FS program, the dealer has noting to do with it.
Obviously the dealer can markup the MF if you let them...

2) Also, Looks like there is an USAA incentive for $10,000??! Is this for purchase and not lease?
3) Any incentive for prior lease?
4)Federal tax credit of $7500 still in play, correct?
5) When negotiating purchase price for lease, I'd take the incentives and credits off MSRP (or dealer's asking price), correct?

Yes! Thank you, I called CCA and added my wife as an associate member ($50. /5yr,) so we can get the $1K rebate.
Also did BMW rates change, looks like MF is now 0.00182 ?
Loyalty is still $2K.

Yes October rates went up to .00182 (4.368%) from .00166 (3.984%)
On top of that sad news it looks like i3 inventory is low on i3's, at lease in Southern Cal.

I did notice low inventory, assumed because MY19's start production soon (Nov. I think?) and they will have more range. Range will improve 30+% , the MSRP will probably go up also and I don't need the extra range.

My CA found me a base model w/REx in transit to another dealer. He was able to snag it, it's due at the Oxnard VDC on Oct 5th.
I'm hoping because I gave him $1K deposit at the end of Sept my MF rate is locked at .00166 But I can live with the higher .00182 if not.

Thanks Michaell, Yes, I have done this (rate lock 90 days west coast) with other BMW's that I ordered in the past. Most recently in July, I ordered my 2019 X3 M40i to my specs and took delivey at the end of Aug.
But I did not order this car (P1 status) the i3 in question was originally going to another dealer, my CA got it re-routed. He ask for the $1K deposit so the car could not be sold to someone else. I'll let everyone know how this works out, probably next week.

1) What are the current residual and MF values for BMW i3; 36 months/ 10,000 miles, CA 94127?
2) My partner has BMW (same address as mine). Can I use the loyalty discount of $2000?
3) Which incentives are taxed?
4) Which incentives are not taxed?
5) Is this a good timing to go for the 2018 model considering that the 2019 model is coming out beginning of November, or should I wait couple of more weeks?

4) Possibly, the state rebate, as you get that directly from the state, afterwards
5) I don't have a crystal ball, and can't tell you what might happen with the 2018 lease programs, but I don't think the arrival of the 2019 will have much effect on the 2018 programs. What will happen will happen.. just like any other month.

I was wondering what to do when a dealer asks if I have something in writing. I.e. Kelley blue book, edmunds, true car list the average sale price off a 55790 msrp i3 Rex as ~47500 - 50100 (11-14) off before incentives, when I asked for 12 percent off a dealer dismissed it and said they can’t do that or if I have something in writing when I said I know the residual, and mf


From what I understand, there’s a 7500 incentive, a 2000 loyalty and a 1000 college grad incentive I can use towards reducing cap cost.
