    Hello,

Thanks for your help with this. May I please have the MF & RV for a 2018 Mazda CX-5 in Houston, Texas (77046) for the Sport & Touring models, 36/10 & 36/12 lease?

Are the RVs different for AWD versus FWD models?

    Any lease cash/ incentives?

    Thank you!

Getting lease quotes now for 2018 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD w/ Premium Package

Didn’t start with negotiating price of car and just asked for best lease offers for 36 months and 10K miles/yr and $0 down

So far I have $379/month inclusive of all taxes (Philly PA) and see the car listed with MSRP of $33,615.

    Is this good?

Hard to say - what is the selling price?

And, $0 down is not the same thing as $0 drive off - generally, you'll have to make the first payment and registration costs when you sign the paperwork.

    Hello -

I'm looking for MF, Residual and any lease cash/support in zip code 80026 (Colorado) for the following:

2018 CX-5 AWD GT with Premium Package 36/15k
    2018 CX-5 AWD T with Preferred Package 36/15k

One note, what is the difference between 12k and 15k miles? Does that show up in the Residual? I'm a newbie to leasing. Thanks for your assistance.

    .00018 MF and 58%/57% residual for Touring/GT

Hi again. I didn't pull the tigger at the time the above was provided. Sorry to ask again but could someone please provided updated numbers for the same vehicles?
    Those are the current numbers
    Thank you!
I pulled the trigger last night bringing home a 2018 GT AWD with the Premium Package, roof rack side rails, and all weather floor mats for $31207, 36/15, $560 rebate, $500 down (including 1st month payment), $409 per Month. Drove it off the lot with 3.2 miles on it as it landed from Japan the same day. Very happy with it!

Also-- is 8.8% off the MSRP of a CX-5 Grand Touring 2WD a good deal?

That was the price the dealer is starting with for the lease.

I would think so. I negotiated pretty hard in February to get 8% off MSRP on a GT+Premium Pkg AWD (not including any manufacturer cash), and it showed on TruCar as the second lowest price paid in the country. But be careful they don't play around with the MF and RV on the lease terms.

What msrp should I go off of? The Mazdausa website? The Mazdausa site doesn’t bump with the sticker. Also the dealer told me that for a lease they could not honor price that was on truevalue due to it being numbers for purchasing. I did not believe that as I am haggling as if I am purchasing the car after the 36 months.

There are different incentives for lease vs. purchase, so the dealer is correct in this case regarding the TrueValue pricing.

I just pulled the trigger tonight on GT AWD premium 36/12, all weather mats, 3 years of oil changes,  and they paid remaining 2 A4 payments of $720, for $0 drive off and $380/ month.

Thank you for all your help on this forum—truly spectacular. Just a follow-up question to this regarding lease price and purchase price. Previously, I've received advice that I should negotiate the sales price as if I were purchasing, then tell the dealer that I'm going to leasing route. Is that false? In that case, is there less room for negotiating in lease vs. purchase?

It used to be that easy. But, with varying incentives, you still want to negotiate price first, but no point in hiding that you are leasing.

Thank you so much for this. One more question, if I may. I won't be making a purchase for another few months (likely July or August), and was wondering if there's any general pattern of price fluctuation, just so I can plan my budget a bit. For example, if I were to receive a reasonable quote right now, is it likely that the cost will go down as it approaches the end of the summer, or is it actually completely unpredictable? I ask because the new lease programs for April (at least in NY) seem to be going at higher prices than it did in March.

Thank you so much again. I'm a bit new to this, so any help teaches me a lot.

I just pulled the trigger tonight on GT AWD premium 36/12, all weather mats, 3 years of oil changes,  and they paid remaining 2 A4 payments of $720, for $0 drive off and $380/ month.

I’m happy with this deal.  WI 5% tax.
    This is for 2018 CX5?

    Yes

Sounds pretty good to me. I was recently quoted 410/mo for AWD GT without premium package. Including tax (6%).

Can you walk me through how you got that deal? I would like to replicate here (VT).

Originally I negotiated a killer deal for a 2017 Mazda 6 - GT with premium for $0 drive off and $350/mo.  I was just very aggressive and even had them throw in 2 months of my Audi payments, interior protection (white interior), 3 years of oil changes and floor mats.  They had one last 2017 GT with premium remaining in inventory and 6s are being heavily incentivized given the 2018s are now out.  Also,  it was the last day for the MN auto show additional $1000 incentive.

I was about to pull the trigger on that but then decided to pursue a cx5 instead.  And with the MSRP for the cx5 GT premium within a couple hundred of the 6,  I had a benchmark for them to make me a deal against.  They knew that I was motivated to buy same day so they were trying to get me a deal I could say yes to.  It was also end of month (April 2nd but I started negotiations on March 30 so I’m assuming they were trying to hit month end quota as well.

The incentives on the CX5 are several thousand less than the 6 so at the end of the day got the car for $380 instead of $350 for the 6. If I did not have them cover my 2 car payments,  could realistically have gotten in it for around $360/m instead.  They said they were pricing it at below invoice.  They also took out some random stuff like Pulse back lights that added $300 to the original price and was just back brake lights that pulsed.  They originally quote me $389 but I negotiated to $380/mo

Sometimes, near the end of the model year, you'll see some lease deals, but it's model specific, and might not ever happen for the vehicle you are interested in. The CX5 has a pretty good lease program, right now.
