That's not how the rent charge is calculated.

It's the CAP cost plus the residual value multiplied by the MF decimal value

I'm about a quarter off from that payment.

Only $1000 discount from MSRP? That does not help the payment, at all.

lease offers on the RDX are not good, compared to other cars. Even the salespeople readily admit you can get an MDX with a sticker 10K higher for the same or lower price. If you want one.

I'd get a different vehicle, before I'd pay MSRP for an Acura.

My two biggest take-aways from my self-education:

Lease Payment = (Adjusted Capital Cost+Residual) * Money Factor + (Adjusted Capital Cost - Residual) / Lease Term

Money Factor = (Rent Charge/Lease Term) / (Adjusted Cap Cost+Residual)

It’s $1000 off MSRP and then about $2k in fees, including the destination charge, acquisition fee, etc. and the $1000 loyalty discount. I understand these deals aren’t awesome but I currently have an MDX that’s too big and I have 20,000 miles to roll over so I’m considering it.

I wouldn't even put $3K down, if it were me - just first payment and DMV costs. Anything else above that is at risk for loss if the car is stolen or totaled.

How does the conquest/loyalty incentive get applied to a lease? Does it go to the price of the car, because the dealership is stating that $1,000 will go towards the down payment..

I fully agree with not putting anything down on a lease. Why pay now what you can pay over 36 months? By putting down a down payment, you are basically pre-paying, for no reason, the lease payments. And if the car is totaled or stolen, you have now paid money for a car you don't have.

I have never and would never put a down payment down for a lease. It's a totally different story for a purchase as with a purchase, you own the car at the end of the loan.

Just my two cents. Feel free to disagree. Everyone's circumstance is unique!
