Not the answer I was hoping for, but at least I know that our dealer is on the level. They accepted VIP pricing, allowed us to use VIP pricing for some accessories we wanted to purchase separate from the vehicle (so they don't have to be turned back in if we do lease) and quoted the .00045 MF and 56% residual on the lease.

Only hope for a reduction in monthly would be to delay delivery until Feb 3 and hope for improvements in rates. But, at this point, I don't think it is worth it.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect big changes in the programs, next month.

And, any changes are likely to work against you.

Options do not affect the lease terms, however the 8-passenger model is a separate trim, and has slightly different numbers.

I ordered a Premium 7 Seat with moonroof package today using Costco Auto Program. Invoice price was $37,487 and sales price is $1,000 off that, $36,487.  My issue is that when salesman modeled my lease for me he used an MF of .0016 for 36/10.  Considerably higher than we see here.  Is it normal for the dealership to mark up MF this much? I asked him about that and he insisted that .0016 was the lowest available for this model from Subaru.   What’s the best way to approach this when I actually go to pick up the car in late March?  Is there any way for me to prove that the quoted rate isn’t actually the lowest Subaru offers?  Thanks for any input.

The base MF is .00110
The bank permits dealers to markup the rate by .00050, for extra profit.

If you feel you've been had, I'd go back tomorrow and straighten it out. Once the car gets here, you have no leverage.

You don't really have to prove it. Go back and say that you specifically asked if the rate given was the base rate, and the response was not truthful. They may lie about it, again. At least, you'll know what you are dealing with.

We are about to lease the Ascent Limited, 8 passenger, and were told when we test drive that money factors change monthly, and unless we were going to lease the car that evening they could not provide me the number. Does that sound true?

The finance manager was openly berating the poor sales guy in front of us for allowing us to copy down their selling price, so maybe this dealer is not the nicest... Certainly not to their employees

There is a lot of inventory out there. On a 36k-38k car, $3500 off would be a good start. This high % of discounting makes for great leasing with the relatively low MF and relatively high residual.

My payments over 3 years will be 13k. 36,300 x .39 depreciation over 3 years is $14,157, which is more than the sum of my payments. To me, that is a good lease as the discount to the capitalized cost reduces the rental cost part of the lease payment to <$0

I see there is some manufacturer $329 month lease with $2989 due at signing that was on corporate website that shows up on local dealerships as well. Not sure that this is a great deal, upon discussion via email I got the following:

$329 a month + tax which is $358
$2989 + $358 first month due at signing = 3,347 Down

Is this a good deal? 800+ fico here.

I don't see a selling price.  What is the selling price?  Also, the mods can chime in with any incentives.  I would also encourage you to read what others have shared including myself. Just go back a page or two for my deal that I posted.
