    0.00149 is explained by .00099 + dealer margin of 0.0005 @ 10 MSD discount. So they are scamming me at every turn. I sent them a simple spreadsheet with every last item calculated and told them I'm going to go online and shout that the dealership is a cheat.

    If you want to know, it's Smythe Volvo in Summit, NJ.

    How dare us plebian customers figure out how to calculate a lease on our very own, then challenge the dealer when they try to charge us more.

    Had a similar experience at the VW dealer a month or two back - not likely to return there when my Jetta lease is up later this year.

    Had a similar experience at the VW dealer a month or two back - not likely to return there when my Jetta lease is up later this year.

    End of the month is a good time. While their software still "scams", I was able to negotiate them down to a selling price that puts me $569 payment (against my target of $580) with tax and fees out of pocket (+ MSD). The $456 documentation fee is absolutely outrageous, but you give some, you get some or more!

    Thanks for your input. We need 20,000 miles as we ended up using  about 20000 k per year on previous lease as well.
