Hi can someone clarify how the rebate works? Went to dealer today to ask about a 0 down 36/12k lease on 530e and got the following numbers:

MSRP - 55455
Base cap cost - 49925 (including costco $2700 auto discount)
Adjusted cap cost - 49584
MF - 0.00168
monthly - 648.72 after tax

They said there was a 2750 rebate for conquest/loyalty that was applied but it would be used to "pay off the initial drive off". Shouldn't the rebate be applied to the base cap cost as well to reduce the adjusted cap cost??

I know there's still wriggle room with the MF and likely the adjusted cap cost. Would appreciate any help, thanks!

Tell the dealer you want the base MF, or you'll find another dealer.

The incentive can be used to pay off the inception costs, as the dealer points out.

Hi apologies for all of the questions. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger but was wondering if someone would be able to look at the below quote and make sure I'm not getting my numbers mixed up.



My specific question is the initial cap cost is listed at 52000 and the cap cost reduction is 2752.56. Shouldn't the adjusted cap cost be 52000-2752 = 49248 instead of the listed 50257.44? Also not sure where the rebate factors in as its listed as 2750 however the cap cost reduction is 2.56 more.

I'm happy paying the 1500 drive off but I feel like I'm missing something. Appreciate the second look.

Because you have to add back the $1010 in fees from the cap reduction.

The difference in cap reduction is what's left over from the $1500 after first payment and DMV costs, and other misc fees, are paid.

I agree with the math, and that looks like a decent quote with only $1500 out of pocket.

The base MF is .00128, so .00093 is the correct adjusted MF with MSDs.
