Confirmed through emails last day of the month that dealers remained firm. Honda dealer incentives were poor for the HR-V compared to the Labor Day Holiday.

The calculations above are correct.

What are the "service" contract" and "maintenance" items? Those seem unnecessary, and add over $30/mo to the payment.

In CA, we recommend you pay only the first payment and DMV costs at signing, maybe $500 in your case. Have the dealer provide you with another quote with that amount due from you only.

The one place you can save money is to negotiate a lower selling price; now that you know about the $1200 dealer incentive, use that knowledge to your advantage.
