Hello everyone, I’m new to the family and glad to be here!

I live in NYC and got a deal on a 2019 C300 sedan. The MSRP is $53115, and my deal is sign and drive with first month free at $565/month, tax and everything else are included. Just wondering if this is a good deal? Thank you guys!

Forgot to mention, it’s a 36/10 lease and the car is AWD.
    .00089 MF and 59% residual
    $1000 dealer incentive

    What is the selling price?
    Adjusted CAP cost?

Hi Kyfdx, thanks for the reply. Based on the final deal my friend gave to me and the numbers you provided, I did a little calculation and the selling price came out as $47500 after $1000 incentive out of MSRP $53115. Is it possible that I still can get it below $550 or even lower? It’s a sign and drive deal though. Thank you very much!

Can you tell me what dealer you got that at?

We gave you the MF in decimal format ….

    .00162

The residual is always expressed as a percentage, and doesn't change the MF for different mileage allowances

    Retail price: $55,355
    Selling price: $48,600

Guessing the dealer didn't make the residual adjustment from 15K to 10K

Any reason why you aren't going with the sweet spot of 36 months? Leases that long put you at risk for replacing consumable items like tires and brakes, plus a higher risk of your life circumstances changing (new job), which could impact the number of miles you drive.

I agree with you 100%. I want to do 36 months, but the price jumped up to almost $700 a month. I think the monthly lease is a good deal, but not for 48 months. How can I get them to give me the $555 price for 36/10 ? What is the money factor and residual for 07052 36/10k?

With those prices, I get $553/mo for 36 months, assuming all taxes and fees are paid up front (which, they look like they are).

Either the CAP cost is higher than the selling price, or the MF is marked up. Find out from the dealer which it is (and, could be both)

    .00073 MF and 57% residual
    $1000 dealer incentive

Adding the $795 acquisition fee to the selling price, I get $457/mo.+tax, which is pretty close.
Did you make multiple security deposits to bring down the money factor?
If so, that's two deposits, and should bring it down to .00059.
That would drop $10/mo+tax off the payment.

You have a pretty big discount, but I wonder if the MSDs are hiding a money factor or acquisition fee markup.

Also, we've seen Mercedes dealers add the prepaid maintenance to the MSRP, effectively residualizing that amount and reducing the cost.

Have they disclosed the money factor and/or adjusted CAP cost?

Thanks so much for info. The money factor is 0.00073. Yes, two month security deposit is to bring down the payment. I think you are right. They mark up on acquisition fee :(   Adjusted CAP cost is $43965.07.

    12k/36M
    MSRP: $49885
    Selling Price: $42233.36
    Zip Code:95133
    Monthly Payment: $500.71/M (after tax)
Out of pocket price: $1080 (first payment, registerstion fee, license fee...etc) + $1100 (refundable deposit) + $1477 (pre-paid maintenance fee)

Is this considered a bad, fair, or good one? Thanks for your help.

sorry, just want to clarify selling price $42233.36 is the price after deducting autonation saving only. That selling price does not include the tax, document, smog fee...etc.
    .00073 MF and 57% residual

    Hello,
Thanks so much for info. The money factor is 0.00073. Yes, two month security deposit is to bring down the payment. I think you are right. They mark up on acquisition fee :(   Adjusted CAP cost is $43965.07.

Seems like a decent deal. That's a big discount.

  • Just leased a new 2019 C300 Coupe 4MATIC.. 36 months / 10,000 miles. I think I did ok for a 2019 considering it had every option that I wanted.. Thanks to Michaell and kyfdx for all the help!

$2650 down (includes 1st month payment, taxes, fees)
    $565 monthly
    $53,745 MSRP
    Gross Capitalized Cost: 47093.27
    Adjusted Capitalized Cost: 48950.73
    NJ Sales tax: 6.625%

I figured out how to calculate what I should be paying given the original numbers, but I'm not smart enough to do the reverse math on these numbers.

    How did I do?

  • Do you have the RV, MF, and incentives for a 2019 C43 AMG Coupe, 10K/36 in NY 11362?
