Can you please post 2019 25T Premium? One dealer is telling me 36 months is the better program, the other is saying 39 months. Can you please post MF and Residual below? Thank you. I'm assuming the same 1% increase in residual for 10k miles? So 56% for F-Pace 2019 25T Premium?

The dealer just came back to me with 52% residual and .00013 MF on a 36/10k in 33169 zip. I usually anticipate markup on the MF that I eventually negotiate down, but the residuals are very far off.

Is there a better way to negotiate with them and tell them where I am getting my numbers? Do people normally say they get the numbers from Edmunds car forums, or is there a more official response?

Yes, add 1% for 10K

Confirm the trim level and miles per year the dealer is quoting for. They are not allowed to alter the residual value, it is set by the bank.

Tell them you want the base MF, or you'll find a dealer (or brand) more accommodating. They know what the numbers are.

Attached is the deal I negotiated on a 2019 25T Premium. MSRP of $54,140 and a negotiated price of $49,000 (9.5% off). They ordered me a new car, which is anticipated to arrive in December, and I am banking on the lease program getting better for December and after they sell off remaining 2018's. I wanted to set a baseline for what deal they would make me on the car if it were here today, and that is what is attached. 54% residual and .00002 MF. Inception only got me to $589 including tax (FL 7%). Page 2 contains the inception fees. They told me $525 was included as dealer incentive, but it's not visible on this print out.

Can you please look through both pages and let me know if you see any opportunity to get a better deal? I think I can get the discount from 9.5% off to 10.5% off, but am waiting until the car arrives to push a little further. What are lines 21 and 22? On Page 2, they said the dealer fee was non-negotiable. Is that usually the case, and if so, is it a common amount?

Am hoping to see incentives between $1,000 and 1,500 in December to get the payment down a little lower. Thoughts? Thank you!

You should negotiate everything now, when you place the order. You'll lose leverage when the car arrives. I don't know how Jaguar deals with custom orders - if you can lock in the current rates or not.

I'm not into predicting the future, but in general the residual goes down as the model year progresses; the MF and incentives (if any) are often adjusted to maintain the same payment.

If it were me, I'd roll everything but the first payment and the license fee into the payment. The payment will increase, but the out of pocket will drop to under $1000.

Negotiate a lower price to offset the dealer fee. Typical Florida dealer, though I've seen them higher - as much as $995.

We only show the dealer incentive; use the knowledge of it to get your lowest price.

You've already mentioned the $1600 in rebates - I just gave you the details.

So, only the first month due?

$895 acquisition fee
$300-500 for dealer doc fee (just guessing here)
$1500 tax (again, just guessing - what is the tax rate?)

$2900 added to the selling price takes the payment to $634/mo. Not too far off the dealer quote.

I'd ask for the CAP cost and what they added to the selling price to get there.
