They have to use the residual value; that is set by the bank.

With respect to the MF, the dealer could mark it up, but it is pretty rare. But, you should see all the numbers, or ask for them, before signing anything.

If they do try to mark up the MF, tell them you won't sign unless you get the base rate.

I did the math on my own with conservative numbers and came out with $620~ at full MSRP (MF .00235 and Residual at 70%)

It's a popular and expensive model. Most likely, it's the money factor being marked up, rather than charging over MSRP (but, it could be some of both).

What is the selling price? What ZIP code? $615/mo seems like a lot for a Tacoma, but the TRD Pro is the top trim with the highest price, and the worst MF. It could be a decent deal, but we'd need the selling price to be sure.

Dealer said they are only selling it at MSRP $47,135 - $750 College Grad Rebate... I ran the leasing calculator on multiple sites (BankRate, Edumunds, etc) all the numbers come out to $570~ using $2k down and taxes rolled in + fees...

It's $4700 less than their first quote...

Final deal from dealer - $600 / month with just $2K out of pocket - $47,135 MSRP TRD Pro 36 months and 10k miles. 7% tax 33448 residual amount fees and everything rolled in the original deal was $665/month with $2k out of pocket I am saying I ran the numbers online lease calculators getting $570~ So I don't know who to believe...especially GSM saying they are taking a $1,300 hit off MSRP? They even showed me the dealer desk tool (reynolds looking portal)

Dude - you need to RUN as far away from this dealer as you can get and find another one.

Hello, you gave me a money factor of .00235,, but the dealer I'm at is saying that is for a 2018 Tacoma SR double cab 4x2 4cyl. Not 2019. The lowest they are saying is .00380.
