My dealer just got 2 of them. They gave me a quote which I'm guessing is very much inflated (based on how they quoted me for an A7).

I will also wait until November when you can validate the MF and residual.

I picked one up over the weekend. What I know is that the residuals for 36/10 are 56% for Prestige; 58% for Premium Plus. 24/10 residual for Prestige is 63%. Add 1% for Audi Care ($869) which for me had the net effect of adding about $7 per month to my payment.

The money factors I was quoted - base rate .00254. They initially wanted .00304 but was able to negotiate to .00274. Since I wanted the car and got a decent discount (4%) for a brand new model and a good trade number I was willing to live with that. Picking it up tomorrow. It's an awesome vehicle! At this price point, it isn't all about the economics of the deal.

Also, there is $1k loyalty available if you lease/finance through Audi Financial.

Congrats! My initial quoted MF was .00304. However, they have told me they will give me the base rate for whichever Audi I wanted. I was able to demonstrate I knew what the base rate is....on the A7 at least. :-)

Thanks for the guidance on how much off MSRP you got. I was wondering about that.

what state? Dealers in SoCal are saying no discount off msrp?!

The MF we quote is for top tier credit, and it represents how much "rent charge" (interest) you pay for the lease.

The price is a negotiable part of the transaction.

It's just any possible markup that's negotiable. The base rate is as low as you can go.

Out of curiosity, do you have any numbers for any terms for less than 36 months?

The MFs on the Q8 and the Mercedes E450 wagon are killing me. I like both of these models more than anything else I have looked at, but $400/month in interest is ridiculous to me.

I'm looking to replace a loaded 2011 R350 BlueTEC (heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, premium sound, lighting package, adaptive damping suspension, panoramic sunroof, blind spot assist, etc.). I like the massive amount of low-end torque coming out of that 3.0L V6 (400ft-lb @ 1600 rpm). I also want the absolute latest technology, safety, and driver assistance features. I want something smaller, but not too small. The Velar and the GLC strike me as a little small—the smallest that I would like to go (I have a 150lb dog). That's one of the reasons the Q8 is also really attractive, and why I have been forced to look at the Discovery and XC90. I would like to be around $1200/month or lower with 0 down (8.25% tax rate here), but I am flexible. Does anyone have any recommendations?

The numbers don't get any better with shorter terms.

What's wrong with the Q7?

I think the Q7 is ugly. I have mixed feelings about VW products. I owned a VW Phaeton (it was a good car), but I also won a multi-thousand dollar judgment against an Audi dealership in my area not too long ago. The Q8 is the only thing from them that has caught my attention and impressed me.

6K miles difference, but the car is also 3 months older on the 39 month lease.

Apples to apples: 36/12 vs. 39/12. 3000 miles difference, 2% residual difference.

Miles vs. months. Two variables. It's not just mileage
