Hello - I live in Bloomfield NJ and have checked out this dealer which still has 59 Tiguan on the lot. I was wondering if there were any conditions on the markdown sales price they are advertising and were you able to get them to come down more on their sales price or were they firm?
Was there a given breakdown on this discount like VW incentives etc or conditions like you can't get pricing with a trade-in. They seem to be offering same pricing for March as they did for February and nothing has changed.

Also curious if you if you shopped around for quotes from different dealers in Northern NJ or went down south to Toms b/c they seem to offer such big discounts based on location and large inventory.

Right now they are offering the following:
SE AWD (30 on lot varying prices) - assuming that the MSRP price also includes what you mentioned: the sunroof, remote, service and mats as it was close to what you noted (they don't indicate add-on options on website). Current advertised: MSRP $31,224 w/ "Dealer Discounts" of $4,521 - Sale Price: $26,712.

They are currently advertising on SEL AWD/Nav (12 on lot): following price: (MSRP: $34,864 (Discount:5564/Selling price: $29,300)(This has sunroof & SEL AWD Premium (5 on lot): (MSRP: 39,239 (Discount 6079)/Selling $33,160)

Any insight on your experience and help with my possible negotiations would very appreciated. Thanks so much in advance. I'm super grateful for this forum.

It's possible that the prices you see are for purchase, and not a lease.

Different incentive apply.

Ask them for a sale price for a lease, and see if you get the same numbers. Don't be surprised if you don't

They emailed me with the same quoted price as I asked them for MF/Res and they replied with the ad and they asked me for how long and how many miles. I wonder if the prices are so competitive based on location (it is very north of populated area) and the amount of inventory they have left to sell. I came across another dealer with similar pricing but not as good as that one. TBD. I'm going to monitor inventory as the month goes on then start getting quotes toward the end of this month. See what I come up with and which one is best. I gave up on the Forester. I'd rather get the Tiguan and pay far less selling price and have a lower monthly payment. Those two models were my top two choices. I actually liked the Tiguan more but the trim price was very high but now with price reduction I am very interested. TBD. Going to test drive some other models as I get ford FF discount.

MSRP $41,520. "Dealer discount" of $3000, vehicle price $38,520.

Considering the $1650 that the dealer gets from VW, $3000 isn't a very big discount.

With just $1000 upfront, it looks like there are fees being rolled over into the adjusted CAP.
Ask for the adjusted CAP, and look out for big dealer fees, that are eating into the small discount you already have.

Actually, in PA there is a 3% tax for leases specifically, so the tax rate would be 9%

The incentives we gave you are VW-to-dealer incentives for leased vehicles. That doesn't have to be disclosed by the dealer.

Maybe, the $1000 is something else?

If it is a 36 month lease, then they are marking up the money factor. Yes, it's negotiable. ("I refuse any deal with a marked up money factor").

If the term is 42 months or longer, the MF is .00116.
