I show standard MF and 66% for 36/10; your quote is probably through US Bank or Ally

I'd roll the taxes and bank fee into the monthly payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you won't get that money back.

I was offered full price on remainder of my 19 months 2018 Jeep rubicon, for trade on a 60k Jeep Rubicon with sales price of 53,000. They wanted zero down but payment was offered at $771 for 48 months, I believe residual is 53%, is this a good deal? In California, 48/10

I don't know if it's a good deal, but that's a lot of money to lease a $60K MSRP vehicle for four years.

I get $535/mo plus tax using $60K as the MSRP and $53K as the cap cost.

It's likely their quote was through a different bank, that possibly included an incentive that isn't available on a US Bank lease.

I would ask them for the details on their quote, then go from there.

Hi guys, if anyone knows what the MF and residual would be on a 4 door Rubicon for 39 months, 10,000 miles. Zip is 10710 and I’m assuming tire one credit (one of my parents will most likely co-sign). Also I see “standard MF” thrown around a lot in this thread and could not find an explanation. Thanks guys!

We don't know the standard MF this month.. We've seen reports as low as .00193

Thank you, sir! I have confirmed that the APR is not being marked up. I'm going to try and work the selling price downward as I'm not intrigued with a $603/mo lease payment and have seen Rubis going for cheaper than that. The dealer did state Ally was cheaper than the other programs... higher residual at 68% it appears but also higher APR/MF.

Can you confirm for 36/10 for 37801 the MF and residual of the program you have access to for comparison? Rubicon Unlimited

You are just renting the car, effectively. The number that matters is the monthly payment, not how much you've paid over 36 months in relationship to the MSRP or the residual.

Wranglers are expensive to lease, regardless of the bank.

I have been read and trying to figure out how to tell if a lease is a good deal. I have two vehicles that I negotiated numbers, Wrangler Willys and Rubicon and before I left the dealership, they lease quoted me a price for the Willy. Here are the details:

We recommend you only pay the first payment and registration costs up front - roll all the taxes and fees into the monthly payment.

$3400 up front, amortized over the lease term, adds another $71/mo to the payment.
$2100 tax and $595 acquisition fee is another $54/mo.

Now, you're at $455/mo for 48 months. Just over $21,000, and you still have to finance another $23K when the lease is up.

If you plan on keeping the car at the end of the lease, you should buy in outright from the start - when the lease is up, you'll be paying used car interest rates to buy it out. I don't know the tax laws in MD, but would you have to pay sales tax again when you buy the lease out? If so, I'd definitely argue for a purchase up front.
