In Ca it’s around $500. So IMO not worth to go 39 months. Paying depreciation for too long depletes the purpose of leasing ( newer car every two to three years ).

Yeah... at $500, I wouldn't go an extra 3 months.. I might look at 48 months, as the residual is just 3% lower than 36/39
1. Going to sell/trade in a car worth $10,500 (no loan) Do you recommend just selling outright and putting no money down on the lease or just having a very low lease payment.
2. Do you recommend going 2019 or 2018 models at this time?
3. My option requirements are not all that high. As such, I am curious which packages you recommend to get the right balance of upgrades and optimal residual. Options I require are:
4 Door White Hard Top (hoping its easy to take on and off and read about on type of top that’s easy to remove and not sure if top types are all the same). Technology Package Audio Package (preferred but not required) Would like the larger wheels but willing to do after market.
5. I prefer manual (just cause it’s more fun) does that hurt residual since it does appear more people want automatic.
6. 24 or 36 months
7. Any idea of MF to expect in FL
8. I do want the dual tops I assume that is just an add on for all models.

1. Feel free to trade it in, but have the dealer give you a check for the equity 2. 2018's probably have better discounts, at this time 3. See #2; there may not be a lot of 2018's with the options you want, this late in the year 4. We've heard that stick shifts have a 2% deduction on the residual, but cannot substantiate it 5. For the Wrangler, the longer term will give you a more favorable payment; in fact, the Wrangler is one of the few vehicles where we suggest you look at terms longer than 36 months, since the residual drop off isn't as great 6. Standard MF, which we think is in the range of .00210 to .00250 7. Can't help you with dual tops
What dealer and was that MF through Chrysler Capital? Thats the best Ive heard this month.
Sport and Sport S have the best residuals. Discount off MSRP does not affect residual at all. that is a lie. Residual is set no matter what you pay.
Many dealers will deal. I have had multiple quotes of at least 5k off. Depending on where you are I may have a dealer I can refer you to. Also, one of JL Jeep forums has a list of dealers willing to make a deal.
Sport is has no power windows or locks. It is very basic. Sport S gets power features and a few more options that are available. I was originally lookign at the Sahara, but an optioned Sport S was better for me based on the residual and cheaper price. If you want adaptive cruise control, led lights etc you need to go with the Sahara. Sport S can get leather though. You can do an exact comparison on jeeps website.
1. Dealer tells me he can do 10% higher residual on a Sport v Sahara 4 door. Make sense? That may be worth sacrificing the same color hard too.
2. .00225 is the MF. Seems real high.
3. They won’t even negotiate MSRP as they say anything of MSRP just has the opposite effect on residual.
All in all all more than I want to spend it all is not really negotiable.
So may move on a keep my kexus.
1) The Sport residuals are 7% higher than the Sahara through Chrysler Capital. Should make for a much, much lower payment (especially since the MSRP is so much lower, as well)
2) We don't know the Standard money factor, but .00225 is definitely in the range we've seen in the past
3) Residual is based on the actual MSRP. Your negotiated price doesn't affect the residual amount. So, anything you negotiate off is money in your pocket, as it reduces depreciation, dollar for dollar.
they did not tell me the source of the MF but it is tier 1 (800+) credit.
So so basically I can get all the bells and whistles on a Sport S or Sport and just lose rhe same colored hard top and end up paying a whole lot less.
Anything else of signigance im losing going from Sahara to Sport or Sport S.
I agree with @jpqst I haven't looked at window sticker since last winter, but at that time, the typical Sport was $10K less than a Sahara, so it's a lot more than a hard top.
Chrysler Financial. I looked all over the country and circled back around to a few of the more responsive ones and this was the best, but they were all aroun 7% : (
I just found out my Jeep is ready for pickup so at least there is that!

FYI best MF ive been quoted for tier 1 in December is .00289
Which bank?
Chrysler Capital standard money factor is .00225. I confirmed with my local dealer. One more way of finding out the money factor is by building your Jeep at Jeep.com and then go to summary. It shows finance and lease option along with interest rate on the lease which is .00225x2400 = 5.4%.

When i use try the site and it doesn't show the lease mf, but plugging everything in to a calculator I come up with a MF of .0018125 or 4.35% which is the same interest rate as the loan example. It seems to be pulling the same rate over, but I have never seen the Wrangler MF that low.
thanks SRT. I was able to get that number from another dealer for an 2018. Were you quoted that on a 19? Not sure if they are different
Mine was 2018. 2019’s should be similar. FCA is not letting us build 2019’s on the website. They think it’s gonna hurt the left over inventory of 2018. It’s been three months since Challenger’s been out as a 2019 model and the website shows 2018’s only. Same with Jeep.com
Edmunds.com has the 2019’s available to build with all the options and colors available. It’s strange that a third party website let’s us build a 2019 but not Jeep
thank you mods and members. youve all helped me over the last few months and i landed what i feel is a good deal today. as far as wrangler deals go at least : )

Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4x4 4 door Wrangler Unlimited Sport 4x4 2 door and 4 door if they are different Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4x4 2 door and 4 door if they are different
I don't have exact numbers right in front of me, but we ended up at $426 a month including tax for 36/12. I paid $500 total at signing which included first payment and the MSRP was $44.5K. MF was .00225 and the discount was around $5k.

Is there such a thing as a single payment lease for jlu wrangler Sahara unlimited? If we do single payment is mf 0 because we are essentially paying cash?
