Hello. I recently priced a VW GTI Autobahn and the salesdude told me in order to get the $2500 VW incentive, I could not get the VW financing deal of 1.9%. I have excellent credit. Does this sound right? I could not find this "either, or" in the VW small print. If this is true, should I shop around for my own financing? Coughing up a $2500 VW "gift" is something I do not want to do. Thank you!

The incentives are VW-to-dealer, so technically, you don't get them, anyway.

But, with 1.9% APR up to 60 months, the dealer incentive is $500
2.9% = $1000 dealer incentive
3.9% = $1500 dealer incentive

Standard rate or cash = $2000 incentive
