Only 2% difference between 12K and 15K - for the same trim level

I think it's .25/mile if you go over 15K, if paid at the end of the lease.

However, Honda may offer you the option of purchasing the extra miles, up front, for a reduced rate.

Can car dealerships raise the money factor? I just contacted one dealership and they quoted me 64% residual and a money factor of .00350. Is this just their way of trying to get more money from the interest payments?

Honda allows markups to vehicles that have the “standard” money factor. But, it’s rare to see a Honda dealer actually do it.

Yes, it’s their way to take advantage of the Passport’s popularity. Give this dealer a pass, and shop elsewhere.

The money factor on the Passport is outrageous. The 65% residual value is great but the .0024 money factor eliminates the good. Is .0024 right for zip 28716.

I just called my dealership in Richmond Va and they told me the MF is .00280 and the residual is about 63%. I'm looking at an Elite Passport with 12/36. They said the MF comes straight from Honda and I'm curious if they're too high. My zip code is 23227

Honda dealers can't markup the money factor, unless it is a model that uses the "standard" money factor (like this model). They are correct about the residual. They can't alter it. 63% is correct for 36/12 on the Elite trim.

If you have top tier credit, you can be sure that the dealer is marking up the MF.
