2020 Acura RDX Lease Deals and Prices

Also, let me run this by you. I didn’t get more specific numbers so forgive me for that. I went to see numbers for a lease on the A Spec S-AWD. I have $2700 neg equity on my trade. With $1500 for loyalty, $750 cuz I’m a nurse, and only $500 down, I was quoted $778. I know it’s an expensive vehicle but I feel like they could do better. Especially since I see the $3125 incentive. Am I nuts?

Even with $75/mo. negative equity, that is a terrible quote.

Even with $75/mo. negative equity, that is a terrible quote.

I thought so too. I could settle for 550 tho I told them $500. 😕

When I plug it into the Leasehackr calculator that’s pretty much what it is. Unless I put down over $3000, which I’m not gonna do. I guess I’m just being unrealistic.

$2700 divided by 36 months is $75/month

I just asked the salesman and he said he didn’t think so yet didn’t check for me. They aren’t budging from the deal of $778. This is supposedly with the dealer incentive, loyalty AND first responder discount. And the manager supposedly beat the online deal by $250. I called total BS. Think I should call another dealer? Help!!!

Payment calculation looks about right, once you add in sales tax.

Accounting for the doc fee and incentive, the effective discount is about $3000. 6.3% off MSRP.
That is about average for an Acura.

The deal is reasonable, but the RDX is not a cheap vehicle to lease.

New programs are scheduled to be released 5/1, but no predictions on what, if any, changes there will be.

I am deciding between lease or finance for a 2020 RDX A-Spec and am questioning if the $3,125 incentive will still be there. I'd like to take advantage of the 0.9% finance offer but the dealer has me thinking the price of the vehicle will be higher if I finance versus lease due to different rebates/incentives.

Do you plan to keep the car longer than the lease term? If so, you are better off financing.

Yes, I plan to keep for full 60 months. Dealer gave me a price of $41,300 when I asked for a lease quote with a buyout of $27,596. Once I changed towards financing with an Acura Financial pre-approval the dealer changed the price of the vehicle to $43,900. Claims it was different due to a finance deal versus lease. I drove away.

Dealer is correct - there is a bigger lease incentive in play on the RDX.

But, with a lease, you have to pay the $595 acquisition fee, then if you buy it out you pay sales tax on the buyout amount, then you have to finance it as a used car, for which the interest rates are likely to be higher.

I've researched the RDX a lot the past week or so and have gotten multiple prices. Some are real eye-catchers until you look at the whole deal. Some of the low price quotes need to have $1,025 in destination and as much as $800 processing charges added. Another quote excluded 0.9% financing which triggered a $1,500 incentive reducing the price. The only way you can make sense of all of it is to set up a spreadsheet and line all the quotes up next to one another to make sure it's apples to apples. When it's all boiled down, the quotes are actually pretty close to one another. I read somewhere that a good deal is about 10% off of MSRP and that is what I am finding. Assuming we close the deal, my price was invoice less loyalty rebates. The out the door price (7% sales tax) is $42,374 financed at 0.9% with a trade value $1,500 higher than what CarMax offered me, and the deal is local. Some of the prices beat the deal I am taking, but the higher trade value and sales tax offset trumps those prices on the bottom line.

I'm holding off to see what happens with the incentives tomorrow before I pull the trigger.
