Stuck in the mud... Looking at 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sport Altitude V6 4door Tech Group / Floor Mats / 24L Package
Went in looking for $0 down (except for 1st month) and .00247 MF / RV 70% for 36/12K term thinking this would have me under $375 monthly but instead dealer quoted-
0.00279 / RV 80% but dealer isn't moving off of original 'best price' offer with selling price of $39,884 with $500 of reserve from the bank vs. what I had calculated- $37,563.00 ($5,761.00 dealer rebates + $1,229 closing fees).
MSRP: $42,095 $0 down 12k miles / year 36 monthly payments of $428.95 All taxes and fees included
Any ideas if/what I can ask dealer to do to lower sale/monthly cost rather than me putting money down at closing?? Even assuming dealers #s I get $401 monthly not $428.
Appreciate the help and hope we can join the Jeep family.

$428/mo for a $42K Wrangler is pretty good.
You make a lot of assumptions. I'd get the exact numbers from the dealer.
My dealer group has a Jeep dealer. Is MF different for employees? What should discounts incentives be compared to invoice? It's a shame I even have to ask..

I have all the 'exact numbers' from the dealer and the bottom line from them is their selling price doesn't include the rebates posted on their website (for car sales apparently) so we are $2,300 off on the selling price... I asked if they could reduce by half and/or waive some fees.

2020 Wrangler Sport S 2-door 36/12K (would consider longer if monthly is lower) Zip 93436
First dealer adjusted cap of 36,370 (38,885 msrp), MF at 247, 62% - ended up at $528/mo. Seems I should be able to come in at/just under $400/mo. Residual seems low but looks like standard MF. Any guidance appreciated, looking at a big cheaper one but need auto and hard top.

Thanks for confirmation. My calculations were based on what I thought might be possible given current market but I guess people are buying cars. I'll wait until they get more aggressive (surprised by the high MF) - thanks again for the numbers.

You'd have to have a lot of out of warranty repairs to total $3000, especially if the number of miles you drive is reduced. The longer you keep your current car, the better your chances are of becoming right side up on the loan.
I am still working numbers, and have reached out to over a half dozen dealerships. The current best offer so far is below. Am I missing something why they are so high on the sale price? Is this a bad offer. I live in NJ near Philadelphia, PA.
20 Wrangler Unlimited Sport 8spd Auto, 22S, Convenience, Cold, Technology, Hard Top, Weather Mats. MSRP: $41,735 Sell: $40,985 $0 Down, No Trade Rebate: $1,000 RV: 77% MF:.00275 (Ally Bank) Assume they didn't include upfront drive off in pricing. (tax 6.625%, MV, Fees) Up Front Fees: $1,049 =($595 Acquisition + 1st payment $454) Mo. Payment: $454
My thought is to have the payment closer $374-$420?? Also, These numbers aren't adding up in the Leashacker calculator.

Trying to recreate his quote, looks like he's using 65.5% residual and .00314 MF. I got 2 quotes the other week with MF at .00100 and .00175. Any thoughts?
Yes, it seems others are doing better than that.

I have put too many miles on it from my previous job within 2 years and it’s now passed warranty. I now have a reduced commute but wanting to trade in for warranty.
Okay, will do that. I was floored when I first received that number. Thank you!

Assume they didn't include upfront drive off in pricing. (tax 6.625%, MV, Fees)
Up Front Fees: $1,049 =($595 Acquisition + 1st payment $454)
Mo. Payment: $454
My thought is to have the payment closer $374-$420?? Also, These numbers aren't adding up in the Leashacker calculator.
Thanks in advance for the input and any advice.
