When I do some back of the envelope math and plug these numbers into a lease calculator, the N.Y. and CT lease deals would be the same. Why would Acura do this? Who benefits?

I'm not going to guess. We haven't seen this sort of difference with Acura, before. There could be residency restrictions.

The three states with the alternate programs are NY, NJ and CA.

I'd guess it's an experiment, to see what sells cars.
If you convert .00215 to an APR, it seems very high. Even though it all works out the same, many people balk at that.

I live three miles from another state. If they had different programs, I'd think it was weird, too. But, most people aren't going to have that issue. They only see one program.

If I add the fees and taxes, the subtract out the $3000 up front, I get $473/mo.

The quote looks good, but I wouldn't start with over $4000 out of pocket on a lease. I'd pay the first payment, the DMV cost, and the new plate fee, and add everything else into the monthly lease payment.

The payment goes to $563/mo, but your out of pocket drops to $1190.

Is this a good deal? I was looking at the 2020 MDX (12,000 miles per year) with the Tech and Entertainment package. The dealer gave me a price of $579 a month with $770 due at signing. I am putting no money down and I just have to pay for the plates which is $250. I am in zip code 11762.

The MSRP is $54,525 which includes the $1,025 destination charge. I don't know what the cap cost is.
