So I know that best way to evaluate a deal is to get all the numbers from the dealer - cap cost, mf, etc.

I have been working with 2 dealers in NY on base SH-AWD with MSRP 47395 and MF is 0.00225 and 55% residual. I told them it has to be $0 at signing - just 1st month payment (DMV, Bank Fee, taxes for NY all need to be rolled in). So I have got the guy down to $480 per month. I am wondering if its a good deal or should I wait till Christmas/New Year - not sure how much I should squeeze.

Which if these 2 deals is better? And do you have any advice or concern about either deal? Are these deals great or just average?

It seems to me that Dealer 1 is burying some of the drive off in the cap cost charging $20 more for a monthly lease than dealer 2. The equates to $720 over 36-month lease. However Dealer 1's 1pay is $450 less than Dealer 2 and is covering 100% of the drive off of $1366.72 (I don't know if the drive off is different for monthly lease vs. 1pay). Dealer 2 will charge me the drive off for either a monthly lease or 1pay. Seems like a no brainer to go with Dealer 1.

I'd fill in the blanks about the adjusted cap cost, to see which dealer is giving you a bigger discount, before the incentive is applied. That, more than anything, will drive the payment, either monthly or one-pay.

So decided to not involve the broker and stay with the dealer.

Signed the deal today - $450 per month with everything included NY tax, dmv fees, bank fees. Only thing I paid was 1st month $450.

At the pace these prices are going down - I dont think they stop here.

So I went and signed today, the base model 2020 MDX SH-AWD in red, 12k/36, only paid the first month payment, $425. I think this was a great deal considering that back in 2017 I signed up for a 39 months lease, same 12k, for $479. But back then 2017 model had just come to the market. Same issue that I have with the RDX that would have cost me exactly the same amount, I was like... no thank you, give me the MDX. Acura even paid my last 3 payments. They have huge incentives right now, I think they are coming up with a new model for 2021. Probably with the panoramic roof.

The dealer gets $6500 from Acura, if you take the standard rate financing.

0.90% APR for 60 months is available, but the dealer gets no incentive if you take it (and, that price will probably change)

$1500 dealer incentive if you pay cash (but again, price probably won't be valid)

Price is very reasonable, if you don't mind taking the high rate financing
