I'm new to leasing always just paid cash for my cars before but with a child need something more reliable and safe. Went to a dealer he offered $450 a month for zero down with 7,500 miles a year for 36 months. Deal to me seems pretty good the base model has all the essentials I pretty much want in it already. But I want to make sure I am getting the best deal possible.

I see very few purchase numbers in the forum. Can I compare cap costs mentioned in the forum as a “good” purchase price for me ( + tax, title ) ? 41k + tax ?

To get a purchase price near the lease price, you have to take AFS standard rate financing. ($6500 vs. $6800 incentive)

If you are a cash buyer or want the "special" finance rate, then the incentives drop to nothing.

Are you sure about the MSRP? Every MSRP reported here ends in a "5". And, that doesn't match 55% of the residual.

Marked up money factors are unusual for an Acura dealer.

I am in California moving to Connecticut (06437) in January. I want to lease an MDX as soon as I get there. I’m fine with the base but would like to get as much car as I can for $550 a month. I have a dealer in RI who will make a deal happen on a base 2019 MDX at $533 + tax. They will register it to me here in California and I can pick it up when I get there and take to Connecticut to transfer registration. I am trying to make the deal now because the incentives end January 2nd and I won’t be in CT until Jan 6. Are the incentives good enough for me to be going through the aggravation or should I just walk into a dealership in January once I’m settled? Also, they seem to be offering me the same price on a 19 or a 20. Shouldn’t the 19 be more heavily discounted at this point? How much should I be able to get that base 19 for at a RI dealership?

It never hurts to try and get a lower price. Get a second dealer involved, if possible.

But, that's a decent quote, with less than $1000 out of pocket.

Yes, the 2019 should have a bigger discount.

But, inventory is shrinking on the 2019's; no predictions on how much will be left, or if there will be any support, on the 2019's in January.

The payment calculation is correct, using that adjusted CAP

If you received $11000 off MSRP, then you have almost $1900 added to the sale price to get to that CAP.
You need an accounting of that amount, and the actual amount Due at Signing.

FWD/AWD does not affect the numbers
