2020 BMW X5 Lease Deals and Prices

Looking at leasing a loaner 2020 xDrive40i with 3,000 miles. Here are the numbers the dealership has given me:

MSRP: $66,945.00
Discount: -$4,750.45 (7.1%)
Lease Rebate: -$1,000

7.1% doesn't seem that good. What % off is fair or great for 3,000 miles? Another dealer was willing to do 8% for a new 2020 xDrive40i (non-loaner).

Not good at all.

For any BMW loaner vehicle, you want to target 15-18% off MSRP, before applying any incentives.

8% for a non-loaner is about average, at the end of the model year.

Monthly payment would be $814 a month. 36/10. They came down to .00099 MF. They originally had it marked up 40 bps but I asked for the base rate. No $ down.
Is this a good deal?

MSRP is 86k, MF is .00099, residual is 54% (10k/36 months)

I was able to negotiate a 2020 x5 50i to a cap cost of 81,795. However, dealer is adding the following:
* Tax (california) $4467
* dealer/state fees $1885
* total add ons $1298

Bringing Total price to $89445

Then adding a $2500 rebate, $2500 down, price per month is quoted as $1250 / month

Tax is assessed on the monthly payment in CA, so you can ignore that line (or, it represents the total tax paid over the life of the lease.

DMV costs are about 1.1% of MSRP - around $950. There is a $75 doc fee added, and a couple of other small dollar items. I'd ask for a breakdown of the $1885.

What are the add-ons, specifically? Probably no value to you, and you're paying for 100% of the cost during the lease.

$86K MSRP and $81,795 cap cost gives me a payment of $1109/mo, plus tax. 9% takes the payment to $1209mo, so not that far off the dealer quote.

I read post saying loaners should be discounted at least 15 percent. I was wondering if you can give me a monthly payment estimate with 0 and 3k down. And if you can give me a monthly payment if I can get 15 percent off MSRP.

Subtract $0.25/mile from residual to account for current mileage.

13% off of a loaner is a little below average. If that price already accounts for any incentives/rebates, then it's worse.

This is the 2020 model discussion.

But, either way, the dealer gave you the 36/15 residual. (that's the one they print on the chart). It's plus 2% for 12K/yr, and we never make mistakes.
