another question, is MSRP or vehicle price the same thing? Dealer gave me a paper which says Vehicle price and then subtracted from "AutoNation savings" and then applies customer rebate $3,750 and came up with "AutoNation price" amount, but it's not clear what the Adj capitalized cost is, any idea?

AutoNation paperwork confuses purchase prices from lease prices.
Ask them for a copy of the lease worksheet; that should clarify.
In general, however, they have it correct - you negotiate your best price down from MSRP, then subtract the incentives from it.
It's the rest of their pricing - taxes, etc. - that are different between purchase vs. lease.

Thanks Michaell for quick reply. You are correct, the paper they gave me says "Purchase option" and very confusing indeed. I will contact the sells man and ask him to provide me a lease worksheet so I can see more details.
They provided a Lease details, it says MSRP $64,195 then Price for $59,495, and on top is has Lease credit for $1,750 and $2,000 Loyalty credit, but still it's not clear when they subtracted these rebates, should I ask them for more details?

Hi - can I please get some insight into 2020 540i xDrive MF and residual values for 55424? Am also being offered $6,750 in rebates + payment of my last two lease payments for my 2017 5 series 540. They are working off sales price of full MSRP with first offer. Thank you.

36/15 .00118 MF and 57% residual
$1750 lease credit $2000 loyalty
I'll guess the other $3000 is the dealer discount, unless you have some other rebate that I'm not familiar with.

Thank you - much appreciated. As a first time lease renewer how should I value their payment of my last two payments? I assume they get it back in the deal somewhere but just not sure how to factor that into my negotiations.

They will likely be added into the adjusted cap cost of the new lease.
Why not wait two months before shopping?

Any insight on whether May incentives are typically better than April? When do summer sales start to kick in, let alone the current economic conditions? My lease is due in May and I have begun emailing different dealers. Wondering if I should wait until May.

No predictions on future programs, especially in this economic climate.

Understood. Not looking for predictions. Based on past years, are May incentives better than April? Just as December to Remember sales start around Thanksgiving, and model year clearance happen around Labor day, I was curious to see if May is the start of summer sales or anything. Just looking for past year trends if there are any. Thanks.

No trends to follow, either.
Though, I suppose you could review the 2019 5-series thread and see if you can discern anything.

My 2017 BMW 540xi lease is endng this July and I love the car. Normally, BMW allows purchase at lease end at residual value. Given the current crisis, how are the Manheim auctions of off-lease BMWs going? Any chance BMW might sweeten the deal for me to purchase my car at lease end?

There aren't any Manheim auctions, at this time.
Generally, BMW doesn't negotiate purchase options. They'd rather cut their dealers a deal on the car, than you.
You can try, but you'll need to get at least two people at BMWFS to kick you upstairs. I wouldn't hold out much hope.
