Will Subaru make the last payment? Also own a Chevy and VW GTI if there is conquest money. Also is it best to lease now at end of model year or just extend the lease on current vehicle and wait for 2021 models? My guess is the residual would be higher when 2021 first come out? And finally when will 2021 Crosstrek's be hitting dealer lots? Sorry for all the questions. Great service here. Thank you for whatever answers you can provide.

I have an Subaru Impreza lease expiring Aug 1 and want to move to a Crosstrek. There seems to be no incentives on the 2020. I think I am going to extend the lease a month or two and get a 2021 Crosstrek. It seems to me the payment on the 2021 could be about the same since I am guessing the Residual Value on the 2021 would be greater at the beginning of the model year giving me the same or lower payment compared to the 2020 lease?
Or am I just wrong? Thank you

We don't have any predictions on what the 2021 Crosstrek lease terms will look like.

In very general terms, when the new model year is released, the lease programs on the old model year could be altered to help move inventory. This could be lower MF, higher RV or the inclusion of incentives.

They have changed the offer to $2000 down (it covers tax, registration, plates, bank fee, dealer fees.) plus $299 monthly payment. Total to take car $2299. The MSRP is $26377 and was lowered to $24,698. Thanks fo your help!

I'd roll in the tax, bank and dealer fees into the payment, and have a smaller out of pocket.

That money would be lost if the car were to be stolen or totaled.
