I'm looking for a Honda CRV AWD EX-L 2020 36/12 for 22401. I was told the MF = 0.00137 and RV = 63%. I am a first responder and am turning in a leased Honda Odyssey. I thought there was $500 lease incentive for first responders and $1000 for Honda Loyalty? The dealer is telling me there is no Honda Loyalty lease incentive. Is that true?

There is $500 dealer incentive, $500 first responder and $750 "targeted" loyalty, which means you have to get a code from Honda via snail mail or email to qualify.

So a dealership in Missouri just said that because I'm a first time car buyer, they have to require at least $1000 down, and $425/month (leasehackr was showing $300 per month at $0 down). My credit score is 750+. Is that really a thing (being put in a lower tier because you haven't owned a car before)?

Your credit history is as important as your credit score.

Are they putting you in a lower credit tier, or just requiring a down payment?

In either event, shop more than one dealer.

They wouldn't tell me which tier - but said "it's not tier 1". They wouldn't tell me the MF they're using. They pulled equifax and TU, where they're both 780+ (traditional FICO 8). I have 3-4 years of credit history (credit cards, but no loans, etc ..).

I still think they're just trying to make extra money (they advertise 10% off MSRP on their website to get people in the door, but then mark up the lease).

I'm not that up on how not having previous auto credit affects your Tier

But, Honda doesn't start 2nd tier until you drop below 660.

That doesn't mean that you aren't in it, but I'd sure shop other dealers.

I have seen Honda deals for 1.9% APR. Is this a deal that only specific deanships may honor?
