Thank you. Local dealer is offering 3,141 off MSFP plus an additional $1k incentive. They're trying to make it back with a "theft protection" package, Nitrogen in tires, and an appearance package, all totaled $1213. Also a Doc fee of $599, over and above registration and title. Pretty sure I can negotiate away the theft protection and the Nitrogen. Appearance package includes pinstriping already on the car; I'm not bothered by it but thoughts on how much of that is likely negotiable? The appearance package is $695. Also guessing they'll stick to their guns on the doc fee...

Don't try to negotiate all of the worthless items. Just look at the total price.
In this case, your actual discount is $3141 minus $1812. $1300 off doesn't look very good.
If you want it for less, make the offer you want.

Not sure if this is the right place. We are looking to finance a Cr-v hybrid EX. I see honda is offering 0.9% apr for 60 months and a $1000 incentive. How negotiable are prices in this economy. Edmunds has the retail price hovering around MSRP. Is this an accurate representation of what i should expect to pay? Does anyone out there have any comparable prices they have been offered. We are in zip code 15223.

It's a factory to dealer incentive, and will be reflected in whatever price the dealer offers you.

Using these boards has been very helpful for the past couple car transactions I have made. Today, after following the CRV page for a couple months, I worked out a deal at a local dealer for my girlfriend's next lease. Below are the details. She should have qualified for the $1k lease loyalty, but they never showed me where it worked into the equation, and just kept saying it was done on the "backend". I am pretty certain it was never factored in.

I had essentially built out something very close to this deal walking in, and even though we walked out very close - I have a bitter taste in my mouth. Thoughts?
