Hi Kyfdx, after talking to two different dealers in my area, they are maintaining that the MF is not the same as your figures (approx .00020 or .00030 higher [one was from last month, one this month]) and that they are not marking up the MF from the base rate. As well, I'm getting a higher selling price on lease vs cash sale, despite the presence of the lease cash. Is it possible that the MF could be different than your figures or that there is a "trunk money" that's greater than the lease cash? In neither case would the dealer share a lease worksheet before going in; in the COVID environment, I was uncomfortable traveling to a dealer to negotiate without a firmer quote. Curious what you think

Check with multiple dealers to see if you get a consistent answer about the MF.

If the MF isn't the same, for the same trim and term, then they are marking it up for extra profit.

I don't see the $500 lease cash any more. That might have just been for the July 4th weekend

Thank you for the reply above, i haven't leased in while, do you expect that I would likely be charged and Acquisition Fee or security deposit? In the past with good credit I was usually not.

I am running Excel calculations and start with MSRP and then Edmunds TMV price and add in 230 for doc fees and then take out Lease and Loyalty incentives to get my calculations going.

How does this look, are those fees reasonable, I plan to try to take them off.

Selling price is the one that is negotiated.
Adjusted cap cost is the selling price plus any taxes or fees you are not paying up front, less any incentives or down payment (cap cost reduction) you are making.

You should be able to have the dealer or broker provide this information; if they refuse, you have to ask yourself why they don't want to be transparent.

Find out the fee before negotiating a price, and adjust your offers downward by that amount, to account for it.
