I have relied on you guys heavily for lease numbers over the years. In this case, I am looking at getting opinions on a purchase. 2021 XC60 T8 AWD R-line, MSRP $72,300. Sale price is $61k plus taxes and dmv fees.

Add in the tax credits after purchase and it's a really good deal I feel. If I was to sell after 3 years at 30k miles at RV of 54%, I get about $620/mo for cost of ownership. I somehow don't see a lease deal coming close to this even with all incentives and base MF. Thoughts?

The problem with buying and selling in three years is that nobody knows what the market will be like. Could be better than you expect, could be worse. It's a total crapshoot.

The advantage is that with a lease, you are locking in the residual value.

No, we don't have a deal. Dealer made offer after email inquiry. I have not committed to anything. Just agreed to come see car tomorrow and take test drive. Have not started any negotiation as of yet. And again I was mistaken. tax is included in initial offer but is $592 / month for 36mo/36k miles. Got dealer to give additional $650 - last payment of previous lease.
Maybe left a little meat on bone. That's ok, Salesmen have to make a living too.
Ended up paying $569 / month (includes tax).

What are the chances I can get Volvo dealer to pay for my last month on MB lease?
Do they ever take over lease cars from another brand (MB)? Maybe get them to pay my deposition fee (~$650)?
Are these generally negotiable?

No, we don't have a deal. Dealer made offer after email inquiry. I have not committed to anything. Just agreed to come see car tomorrow and take test drive. Have not started any negotiation as of yet. And again I was mistaken. tax is included in initial offer but is $592 / month for 36mo/36k miles. Just wanting to see if reasonable to accept his initial offer but try to squeeze a little more out of it from the previous leased car (MB) deposition aspect

Yes, it seems reasonable. Yes, always ask for a lower price.

Closed the deal.
Got dealer to give additional $650 - last payment of previous lease.
Maybe left a little meat on bone. That's ok, Salesmen have to make a living too.
Ended up paying $569 / month (includes tax).
3yr / 36k miles
Drive off was $569 - 1st month's payment

There are only three regions for Volvo, so you'll have to travel far to get different numbers.

And, only the incentive varies.
