Today, 11/4, we went to this dealer and have the following lease numbers on a 2021 Highlander Platinum AWD with an MSRP of $50,408.

36 months / 15,000 miles

Our tax rate is 3.025% in Dillon, Colorado (80435)

We liked the MDX, it's a little less roomier than she liked in the back. The Highlander and Pilot are bigger contenders at this point.

We are having issues with Mountain States, they were straight shooters in the past. Not so now. We gave them an opportunity to purchase our leased 2018 Highlander Platinum with 34k miles. They looked up our residual and offered 2k below that lol. They said the "Highlanders are very weak in this market, we are upside down". The sales consultant, who said has been with this dealer for 10 years, said he has never witnessed a Highlander customer get equity when trading in their lease. We laughed as we told him to go look up my parent's deal that we did in 2019 with another salesperson at Mountain States Toyota.

Gee, maybe they should offer you a bigger discount on the new one if they do so poorly.

Have you checked out CarMax, Carvana or Vroom to purchase your 2018? You might find they are more receptive to current market conditions.

Unfortunately, dealers will have a change of management, and the sales process will change as well, and not always for the better. Happened with my VW dealer where I leased my Jetta.

That is a different region, but the residuals should certainly be the same.

We don't have access to the TFS numbers at the moment, but when they come back up, we'll check them.

Plus, it's always possible they were quoting you on a 2020 model

The 2021 model numbers are exactly the same in either location.

Our salesperson called us and told us that things have improved for us because their "Toyotathon" has new leasing incentives that began on November 9th. They say there is now a $2,000 incentive in Colorado? Is this accurate?

Using our info below, can you help us figure out what our payment should be? Their adding something in the deal that I can’t see and their quoted payment is really high.
