Hello, I am new to leasing and learning a lot from this forum. Deciding between the F-Pace P340S and P400S. Equipped with the same options the difference in MSRP is about 5.5K. If I lease, the bigger incentive on the P400S brings the difference down to around 2.5K. Not sure if I am missing something but that seems like a good deal for the upgrade.
I am hoping to like the Jag enough to buy it after the 36 months. Any comments/advice would be most welcome, thanks!

I agree with your logic - bigger incentives can make a more expensive car easier to lease.

What lease term and how many miles a year are you looking for?

The 4% difference in residual, coupled with what I would expect to be a higher MSRP, may widen the difference of the payment between the two engines.

The 400 will always be more expensive, whether you buy or lease.

If the intention is to keep the car longer than 3 years, just buy it.

I have a naive question. I understand that the residual value would decrease over time but why is the MF increasing? Is this is a general practice?
Is it because the dealers are unable to sell and want to recoup some of the depreciation via higher MF?

There is no one single reason why the MF goes up, or down, in any given month.

Usually it's to achieve a particular payment range.
