    Interesting times to lease a Honda....Question on Residual Value

    Can Honda dealers include the options and accessories in the MSRP to increase the residual value and lower the monthly cost? In other words:

    Residual Value = ( MSRP + Dealer Options + Dealer Accessories) * percentage depreciation
    Example MSRP=$38,000 Accessories=$4,000 % Depreciation 62

    RV=(38,000+4,000)*0.62=42,000*0.61=25,620 vs just RV=38,000*0.62 = 23,560

    No.. there may be some big dealer options (side steps? Tow hitch?) that are allowed a small additional amount to be residualized, but that's it. It's nowhere near the amount charged, though.

    2022 AWD Honda Pilot Sport - lease MF/RV for 32308 please (12k and 15k for 36months).

    PS: Is the "Sport" model the best "bang for your buck" compared to EX-L or SE? Price delta is about 2k MSRP across these 3 models...do any have a significant RV advantage over the other?

    How does the Honda Loyalty Discount work for a new lease? I mean, if I meet all the requirements, vehicle ownership, financing through HFS, credit score, etc. Can the dealer choose not to apply the loyalty discount and not give it to you? What if you apply and are pre-approved directly with HFS?

    I don't know that the dealer can opt out of giving you the incentive for loyalty. Besides which, it's not their money, it's the banks.

    The $500 incentive is Honda-to-dealer, so you won't see that listed in your deal. The dealer gets that on every lease.

    Loyalty is a consumer incentive, and yes, it will be subject to sales tax, like any other CAP cost reduction.
