When I asked the salesperson what the MF was they said 0.002 but that was before I applied for financing. My credit is excellent. Should I ask the salesperson to update my estimate or will I get the correct rate when I sign the paperwork?
Honda is showing a Lease Loyalty of $750 in addition to the $1000 Honda Loyalty you mentioned. Would I get all 3 offers?
The buyout on my current passport elite lease is ~32k. I know I don't own the vehicle but the trade in value of it is ~36k. Should I expect some equity toward the new lease?
I very much appreciate any help you can offer!
1. Dealers often quote a higher MF before running credit. Confirm the actual rate, as it won't appear on the contract. 2. I think you will only get one of the loyalty incentives 3. Yes, and again, make sure that the equity is being accurately reflected in the paperwork

Thanks Michaell. I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of how leasing works. I found some good info online and built a spreadsheet. I was able to reverse engineer my last lease, almost to the penny, then the same with this one. There's definitely no equity accounted for even though I was told it was $2800. Also, what a difference 0.0012 makes over 0.002.
Should be an interesting conversation come Monday. The problem is this trim seems hard to come by and they'll probably give me some BS.

zip=01569 model=2022 Pilot EX-L AWD terms=3/36 or 3/45
I see a few have asked about the loyalty offers - I'm currently in a 2019 Pilot EX-L lease - 23500 payoff on a 31000-ish value. Probably going to roll it in to the next lease, but wondering what the offers are if you know.

At that price, you'd probably be better off just buying the vehicle
buy vs lease is a few hundred a month difference even at 15k a year - that's a huge difference
assuming I qualify for the loyalty offers (which I should coming off an existing Pilot lease) the payments after trade should be under 500 vs 700-800. Buyout on the current vehicle would be around 470/mo on a loan as well. So damned if I do, damned if I don't I guess.
Hi, shifted gears to a 2022 Honda Pilot Special Edition AWD. Dealer is quoting a residual value of 62% for 10k/36mo. Is that correct or 63%? Also, are the dealer incentive of $500, loyalty cash $1000 and lease cash $750 if lease through Honda FS all combinable? When you read the definitions online, they don't really say that they are not combinable, just that they depend on "dealer participation."

62% is correct for 36/10 on the Sport trim.
Dealer incentive is for the dealer; they are not obligated to pass it along to the customer.
If you qualify, you get the loyalty. Dealer participation means they can opt out of the program, at their discretion.

The Special Edition... the one that is two above the Sport (I think just after the EX-L but before Trailsport). Is that also 62% for 10k/36mo?

Well, I made the mistake of showing my cards and asking what my quote would be with a 0.0012 MF instead of the 0.002 they were using. I was told they were already using 0.0012 and the quote was based on being approved for top tier, which I know is not true. Then they proceeded to share calculations from their system where they backed into a similar payment (the cents and selling price were different) with the better MF.
In hindsight, I should have first asked them to confirm the specifics of the estimate first before tipping them off to my awareness of the better rate. I doubt it would have made a difference because they would have come up with a reason to not give me it.
I hate the lack of transparency when it comes to leasing. Maybe it's not like that for everyone.

Dealers like leasing specifically because it allows them to hide the numbers. Nowhere on the contract is the actual money factor - just the amount of the "rent charge" for the lease term.

Did you make a deal?
Yeah, I took the deal but I was able to get another $500 off so that helps. I don't think I got a great deal (not a great market for the buyer) but the color and trim is kinda hard to find so I agreed. My last lease was a leftover so I had to take what they had. At least this time I'm getting what I wanted. Also, many of the other dealers I contacted either didn't have what I wanted, barely engaged, or didn't respond at all.
I was told in August that it'd be here 2-3 weeks. I've since made a lease payment and I'm due for another shortly. I doubt the last payment was accounted for in my deal and I don't want to make another so I'm hoping it's in this week.
Car buying/leasing sucks. I'm hopeful the new laws the FTC is trying to pass will make this experience better and more transparent.
Been awhile - went to Honda today my wife 19 touring with 26k miles looking to order a 23 touring. Was told dec is when they will be coming to Ma. Was just wondering for those in New England are they still doing dealer market adjustments - my guy said it’s like 1500 at this point. Just want feedback if anyone has on this topic

Not sure you are going to get pricing info on vehicles that aren't due to the dealer for 2 more months.

Fair but what are the markups on 2022s ? If any
Use the Price Checker link below for help on regional pricing.
We don't know the market for 200+ makes and models.
Ok I used the price checker @ I don’t know how reliable this data is tho. It seems user run not automatically updated from actual sales numbers. It’s def a good resource thanks

My understanding is that it uses prices paid shared by Edmunds members.

A couple more questions if you don't mind:
When I asked the salesperson what the MF was they said 0.002 but that was before I applied for financing. My credit is excellent. Should I ask the salesperson to update my estimate or will I get the correct rate when I sign the paperwork?
