Hi. Could you please share MF, Residual and Incentives for ID4 Standard and S RWD for 94506. 10k/yr, 24 month. Thank you so much.

    .00001 MF and 58% residual
    $7500 lease cash

    STD: $5050 dealer cash
    S: $6100 dealer cash
Thanks. I'm trying to understand how the MF is working as this is what I'm being quoted:

    ID4 S

    MSRP: 47811
    Cap Cost: 34211
    24 month/10k miles
Residual: 58% - matches what you have quoted
MF: .00334 which is much higher than the .00001
    Taxable incentive: $7500
    Payment including tax: $152
    Driveoff: $2350

Is the dealer marking up the MF or is are there two different programs here?
    Two different programs.
The program with .00334 comes with a bigger incentive.

They can run it both ways to see which results in the lower payment.

That quote averages about $244/mo, all-in. That's pretty cheap to lease a car.

Thanks. Can you clarify what the second incentive is that is connecting to the higher MF? Just want to make sure I can separate out incentive vs discount. Thanks.

Sorry, one last question. If you do the bigger incentive with higher MF, do you still get the lease incentive of $7500 on top of it?

VW seems to have posted a lease deal on their website that is for the ID4 S RWD. 2024 all‑electric ID.4 RWD S

Would I be able to get MF, RV, and incentives/cash for RWD S, 24 month 10K for 37207?

    Thank you

And, I'm not sure if it we are allowed to post questions like this here, but I have copy/pasted the offer from VW's website below.

I can't figure out how to get to the $189/month number that VW is offering based on the MSRP of 44,855.

There are no ID4S RWDs available near me with that MSRP, they are all in the 47K range.

    $189/month for 24-month lease.
After a $7,500 EV Lease Bonus.
    Offer ends 3/3/25.
$999 due at signing. Excludes tax, title, license, options and dealer fees. No security deposit.
For well-qualified customers. Limited inventory available.

Closed end lease financing available through March 3, 2025 for a new, unused 2024 all‑electric ID.4 RWD S, on approved credit to well-qualified customers by Volkswagen Credit through participating dealers. Monthly lease payment based on MSRP of $44,855 and destination charges, less a suggested dealer contribution and application of a $7,500 EV Lease Bonus resulting in a capitalized cost of $31,364.43. Excludes tax, title, license, options and dealer fees. Amount due at signing includes first month's payment, customer down payment of $111, and acquisition fee of $699. Monthly payments total $4,536. Your payment will vary based on dealer contribution and the final negotiated price. At lease end, lessee responsible for disposition fee of $395, $0.20/mile over 20,000 miles and excessive wear and use. EV Lease Bonus applied towards lease contract and is not redeemable for cash. A $395 fee applies if you purchase your lease vehicle. Offer not valid in Puerto Rico. See your participating Volkswagen dealer for details or, for general product information, call 1-800-Drive-VW. ©2025 Volkswagen of America, Inc.

    .00001 MF and 58% residual
    $7500 lease cash
    $6100 dealer cash

The fine print suggests the dealer contribution is the $6100 dealer cash + approx $480 additional discount.

I think it's actually a dealer discount (on top of the dealer cash) of $1,204.57

    MSRP: $44855 + $1425 Destination = Total MSRP of $46,280

    $46,280
    - $6100 (dealer cash)
    - $7500 (lease incentive)
    - $111 (cash cap reduction, left over from the $999 down after paying first payment and acq fee)
    - $1,204.57 (dealer discount)
= $31364.43 (the cap cost in the ad fine print)

Also if you then take the cap cost ($31364.43) and minus the residual (58% x $46,280 = $26,842.40) = $4,522.03 for the amount financed, at a money factor of 0.00001 that results in a payment of $189.00, which exactly matches the ad, it appears the ad payment is $189.00 exactly, since the total of the payments show to be a full dollar amount and you can't divide a dollar by 24 (or any multiple of) and have it result in exact change.

This would also align with the former $149 Standard lease, that required a little over $1000 dealer discount, since there is a little less markup on the Standard both work out to be about $500-600 over invoice deals (the normal amount of profit that most manufacturers leave dealers on national ads).

The numbers above don't account for dealer fees, registration, title or taxes, but those are excluded from the ad too.

This would also align with the former $149 Standard lease, that required a little over $1000 dealer discount, since there is a little less markup on the Standard both work out to be about
$500-600 over invoice deals (the normal amount of profit that most manufacturers leave dealers on national ads).

The numbers above don't account for dealer fees, registration, title or taxes, but those are excluded from the ad too.
Sorry, the destination fee wasn't in the fine print... lol

I think it's in there, "based on MSRP of $44,855 and destination charges,"
I assume that is what destination charges are. They just didn't put a numeric value to it.
While I believe the ($1425) fee is the same for all states (and all 2024 models) manufacturers tend to not always specify it in ads because things can change, or it isn't always the same for all models/states. But the math (residual and cap cost) does include the cost of destination.

Hi - could I get MF/RES/incentives on the PRO RWD and AWD for zip 22182 for 24/10 - we are current ID4 leasees (2023) with VW credit as well, thanks!!!

Thank you both. I have been talking with dealerships this morning and I'm already getting replies that this deal only applies to ID4S's with that MSRP.

The only way I can get to that MSRP is a ID4S with no options and in one of the no-upcharge paints.

    MSRP for your build $44,855
    Destination Charge $1,425$1,425
    Total MSRP $46,280

Without having one at the exact price in the add the dealers are thus far not showing me deals that include the 7500 + 6100 + any dealer discount.

The ID4 works as a great replacement for me for my LEAF while I wait to see how the new Model Y looks in 24 months.

Talking with my local VW dealership sales manager about a lease deal on a 2024 ID.4 Standard.

I was looking for some help in determining the Residual Value/Money Factor/Incentives that he's offering for my zip code (95376).

This is my first lease and I'm trying to be responsible and do all my research to make sure I'm getting a good deal. I really appreciate any help, thank you.

Pasting below the details of the Lease Special that he sent over to me. It is for a 24 month 10k a year contract.

$149/month for 24-month lease. After a $7,500 EV Lease Bonus.
$999 due at signing. Excludes tax, title, license, options and dealer fees. No security deposit.
For well-qualified customers. Limited inventory available.

Closed end lease financing available through March 3, 2025 for a new, unused 2024 all‑electric ID.4 Standard RWD, on approved credit to well-qualified customers by Volkswagen Credit through participating dealers. Monthly lease payment based on MSRP of $39,735 and destination charges, less a suggested dealer contribution and application of a $7,500 EV Lease Bonus resulting in a capitalized cost of $27,436.49. Excludes tax, title, license, options and dealer fees. Amount due at signing includes first month's payment, customer down payment of $151, and acquisition fee of $699. Monthly payments total $3,576.

To quickly determine the impact a higher MSRP will have on your payment, you can take the difference in MSRP from the ad vehicle and then multiply that by the amount of deprecation the vehicle will see, this is the opposite of the residual value (RV), for example if the RS is 58%, then the depreciation amount will be 42%.

So, if the MSRP is $700 higher, then multiply 700 x 0.42 and then divide that by the number of months, 24 in this example:

    700 x 0.42 = 294
    294 / 24 = 12.25

So, a $700 higher MSRP vehicle should cost you about $12.25 more a month, it's technically a little higher since you are 'financing' a little more, but with the MF being so low it doesn't really make much of a difference, the 'quick math' will get you within a dollar or so.

There are lease calculators online that you plug in all the numbers and get an exact difference, but the above should be close enough to negotiate a deal.

Don't let the dealer try to tell you, that you take the total difference in MSRP (700 in the example above) and divide that by the term (24 above), that isn't true and will have the calculated payment higher than it should be.

To clarify that payment (189) is only available on ID.4 S' of the ad MSRP, but a dealer can still provide the same discount (including the same amount of dealer cash) on all ID.4 S RWD models, whether they want to is up to them, but then again they aren't contractually bound to honor the ad even on matching MSRP vehicles either.

Here is the breakdown for the $149/ mo Standard trim lease:

    MSRP: $39735 + $1425 Destination = Total MSRP of $41,160

    $41,160
    - $5050 (dealer cash)
    - $7500 (lease incentive)
    - $151 (cash cap reduction, left over from the $999 down after paying first payment and acq fee)
    - $1,022.51 (dealer discount)
= $27,436.49 (the cap cost in the ad fine print)

    This is a RV of 58% (24 months 10K a year) and a MF of 0.00001

You do also have the option of doing:
$10500 in lieu of the $5050 dealer cash and the MF changes from 0.00001 to 0.00334
This may give a better payment depending on your situation (taxes, trade equity/negative equity, etc).

The ad is calculated off the special 0.00001 MF and the dealer cash.

Here’s the only quote I’ve been able to get from the 10 dealers I’ve contacted the past two weeks. And it seems way off.

In VA, you pay sales tax on the full price of the vehicle, which hurts. Also, that $899 doc fee is doing you no favors. Is this the Standard model?

Also, note, they haven't disclosed the actual lease numbers, other than quoting a payment. The column on the right is for Purchase. No mention of the lease acquisition fee.

This is what I was quoted by a local dealership

Assuming this is for the S model (which the MSRP and description would appear it is).
They haven't actually discounted it at all (outside of the dealer cash).
The $498 dealer services (not entirely sure what that is) and $225 doc fee (which is somewhat reasonable) are obviously not accounted for in the national ad. The vehicle is also a higher MSRP than the advertised deal, by about $800, tho that should only account for about $15 dollar a month difference.

Ultimately it's your decision if a car fits your budget and is what you want, the dealers aren't required to honor the national ad, nor are you required to give them your business. Sometimes you get a better payment at a higher selling price when there are lots of manufacturer incentives vs. a competing manufacturer with less incentives. The question is what is your goal, to drive a car at a specific payment or to get a car at a really good deal regardless of what the payment is, that is a question only you can answer.

If you are interested in the lease, I'd ask for specific number breakdown regarding the lease, adjust capitalized cost, all fees, residual value, MF used, etc.

Ultimately with the way the sales tax is in VA, that $899 doc fee and the higher MSRP of that vehicle, you'll likely struggle to get within $100 of the advertised payment even if the dealer was to 'match' the ad, not sure what your goal is.

I don’t live in VA so the tax shouldn’t be applicable to me and I mentioned that to the dealer.

    This is for an S.

I keep seeing people posting they are getting S or Standard trim leases for $150/mo including taxes fees with a low down payment. Any dealer I contact is not like that.

I'm not sure what state you do live in, but any taxes and dealer fees will always be on top of the ad payment.

Dealers aren't obligated to honor national ads (or even sell you a vehicle at all), if they do sell you a vehicle they must give you all customer incentives that you qualify for (but for dealer incentives (like dealer cash) they are free to do with as they please).

I'm not sure what ID.4 availability is like near you, nor the size of the dealerships and any other variables, but all can have an effect on how much dealers want to sell their vehicles for.
