.00221 comes from Land Rover Financial. Dealers can mark it up for extra profit.

But, they can't alter the residual. Seems like a miscommunication.

I'll guess your original dealer is also marking up the money factor.

Good morning! Looking for some pricing with MF and residual on a Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE P400. With the options it’s $86,193. I was offered a conquest discount of $3k (Bronco) along with approximately $4k of trade towards the bottom line and zero down. Zip code 18052. Didn’t know if the recent fed rate drop affected the MF rates or not.

Doesn't seem like a good deal. Also, does it look like the dealer is using the wrong residual? I was expecting to get 5-7% off MSRP. I was looking for a 24/12 lease.

The prices on the right are a bit confusing - do you have positive or negative equity in the X7?

I'd also guess the MF is marked way up - typical LR dealer behavior.

Payoff on the BMW is $58,155, and they are giving me $62,500, so a positive $4,345. Does the residual seem right? I thought it would be 61% so $106,785 * .61 = $65,138.85

61% is the 24 month residual. The quote above is for 36 months

@Michaell If I calculate just based on the lease # it is coming around 1115-1120 - my car value is $16k with carmax or carvana but the dealer is giving 18k for the trade off and bumping the lease payment to 1174 to make up for the extra $2k cost.

does this look accurate?

Using the MSRP and selling price you've given me, I get $979/mo plus tax.

No discount from sticker, other than the incentive?

Are you paying the $2385 of fees up front, or adding that to the selling price? If the latter, then the payment goes to $1052/mo, plus tax.

Now, if any of the trade equity is used as cap cost reduction, then that payment should go down.

I'd ask the dealer specifically:

What adjusted cap cost are they using for their quote, and how did they get to that number from the selling price? (keep asking questions until you're satisfied with the answers, and the math works out)
What MF are they using?

It's likely one or both of those numbers are higher than what I'm using, so there's still a lot of guesswork going on.

If you owe more on the trade than the value they are giving you, then yes, the lease payment will go up.
