We are a little less than six months from our cruise. We are going on Symphony of the Seas in an owner’s suite. First time on Royal and first time in a full suite.

We don’t vacation anywhere in the summer because of the shore house.

The F350 went to $27,500 and did not meet reserve. It probably would have been a fair price if it had sold there, but I just can't get over its loss of utility with that ridiculous lift.

Yeah, I guess we just don't get it. I commented on C&B about future buyer's remorse; others defended the price as a great deal. :D

The Xterra buyer responded by saying, "Thanks, all. I always said if I could put a VK56 in anything other than a Z it would be an Xterra. And I chatted with seller quite a bit over last few days so hopefully there is room for some optimism there @_wes_. We shall see."

I hope he ends up with a good one.

That 5.6 Xterra is ending in 30 mins. Bidding currently at $8500. I would be tempted BUT, after listening closely to the startup video, I'm not so sure. It doesn't sound right to me. I THINK I'm hearing a knocking sound. It is too far away from me to take that risk.

Oh, they're going nuts. It is in the final run, and bidders have it over $16,500 last I looked. So nuts.
Shocking! $22,100. Two bidders fighting over it for over $8,000 after the rest of the party went home. I detect buyer's remorse coming in the near future.

@qbrozen we got really really lucky and flew out of Vancouver BC instead of Seattle. We got very inexpensive business class seats roundtrip for the same price as economy in Seattle. Only an hour extra drive up to YVR for us.

When I was shopping, at one point I found much more reasonable tickets out of Pittsburg. It would have been quite a drive, but it was something like $1200 savings. Of course, by the time I ran it by the wife and went back to buy the tickets, that rate was nowhere to be found.

In other news: The wife just gave me a hard time and insists I keep the truck and forget this whole thing. Her main point was something along the lines of "what if you wind up with something else you have to work on? You've got enough projects and you know the truck by now and have dealt with many of the problems already."

My daughter is looking for a smallish SUV/CUV. She seems to be settling on a Mazda. Particularly the CX-5.

I know you guys have discussed the CX-5 vs. the CX-50, but I didn't pay attention then. On the Mazda website the 5 just seems a little smaller.

Other than that, it's tough to really figure out the differences since their website is all messed up.

Unless they change it for 2026 a big difference is the cx 50 comes in hybrid. And I think is a little roomier. Someone said it has a less
Fancy rear suspension but it still rides and handles nicely. Either one though should be good, so matter of preference or cost. Oh I think the 50 has a bigger screen too.

    I’m stalled at the moment.

I’m not happy that if I lease another truck now I still have to pay my dispo fee on my current truck.

Their spec is 45 day window from lease end … ok I could fight that. The thing that leaves me without a fight is that my current truck is Chrysler Capital and all the subsidized leases now are Stelantis Financial … so I’m left to pay the fee.

You have to pay the dispo fee, but If there is a loyalty incentive you would still qualify.

Yes loyalty was applied. I’m so torn on the red truck.

Deal is solid but I’m a blow hard and wanted a flat $700. It beats the broker deals on LH (even figuring dispo fee)

I’m jumping ahead and will have 2 extra current truck payments and two months of insurance… but I’ll mile the current truck up in June and July which I will get my money’s worth out of.

Rams aren’t selling but the auto market is a mess right now.

    Options -

Take the deal as penciled now

Wait and see if they come to me at end of the month with a better deal (doubtful)

Do nothing until last payment is made (7/2) and hope pricing hasn’t gone up. Puts me in a tough spot as I can’t be without a vehicle especially in the summer
