    Good one, Dave.

I guess that I arrived too late to be counted in, even though I love the handling of my wife's Legacy GT. I'm sorry for the rest of you though. I already purchased the winning ticket Sunday AM in NJ. Better luck next time.

If we win, I'll split mine 50-50 with you. I may be greedy, but not that greedy.

Jeez Ross, that's amazing. Thanks very much!! I know we have a snowball's chance, but that is just amazingly cool of you. Can you believe this board??

I'll take you up on the offer, but I promise to buy you a Forester accessory and a beer!!

    Cheers,
    Lucien

Cash Option probably pays out at $175 Million. Split 30 ways, since Patti is holding the only winning ticket. It would be $5.83 Million per person. Each person could buy 224 WRXs assuming a total cost of $26,000 including taxes, etc...

Or, we could wait for the WRX STi at a price of $31,000. It would be 188 STis. That's probably more than the allotment per state annually.

I'm sure all of the winners can do a group buy special request purchase option for B4 Legacies to be specially manufactured for the Lucky 30. It would be a great marketing idea for SoA.

I don't drink, but a nice item of Subaru apparel would be nice.
    :-)
Yes I know the odds are vanishingly small, but I do mean it. I know you wanted to join up but couldn't for reasons beyond your control. Besides, we're family!

I almost hope the pot keeps growing! Thank you all for partnering with me. I wish us all luck and luck to anyone else that bought a ticket on the side. I can see the news report now "The Edmunds Subaru Crew Wins Big!"

Everyone here is the best. I too will join Juice with some philanthropic ideas - of course in a fleet of Subaru's. I think the elderly would enjoy a ride in a WRX for a mundane test or Dr. appointment, but Ross would be the best judge of that.

I'll post the results on the flip side. Juice, thank you for "keeping it honest" for all of us!

...subie apparel and a fruit drink or some fine imported tea or something.

" I think the elderly would enjoy a ride in a WRX for a mundane test or Dr. appointment, but Ross would be the best judge of that."

Now wait a minute, I'm old yes, but I don't consider myself elderly. Or is that just my senility speaking. Maybe I really am that old and ... What were we talking about anyway?

Although I thought I asked to be counted in for Tuesday when I was late on Saturday.... here I am supposed to be on vacation & been in work-related meetings all day!

Let's try it again... I'd like to be in line now for the next drawing if there's no winner this time... third time's the charm?

"Count on me" for all the previous & still valid reasons!

    Cheers!

sorry - it wasn't an "age" thing (I think you're younger than I), but a Dr. thing!!!

Now I feel bad for those that didn't get in. I'm starting to really want another drawing!!!

Don't feel bad. I was not complaining. No matter what you do, everyone can't make it for one reason or another. Still think the world of you and your work.

I'm already included in the big win, but there was a WRC Rally car at my dealer today, and I conveniently needed to go buy some brake pads, so I took my 3 1/2 year old boy Ryan along, and, well, see the picture ending in 004.

Thanks, as usual, go out to Paisan for providing me with a link to the pictures.

    Jim

P.S. This is Texas' newest, largest and only stand-alone Subaru dealer, and, my understanding is that this type of architecture may soon define SoA dealers.

A big thanks to Patti for organizing this lottery thingy again and to juice for the help in counting. I made it this time!! Also, look at the pix posted by jimmyp and tell me if this isn't great people!! I feel like a real "newbie" on this board having owned my Subie only about 6 weeks now. I think there are probably longer term Subaru Crew members who did not make the 30 cut-off (other than the ones who got in with Ross after the cut); and since I am lucky enough to be able to connect internet-wise at work during the day and 'cause I am a "newbie", I'd like to offer the following: look at my profile and if you did not make the cut and are a Subie owner (not a wannabe owner)and feel that you could comfortably partner with me, the next 2 posts to the board that 1. ask to split my share; and 2. state that the Vancouver Canucks will beat the Detroit Redwings in the first Hockey round of playoffs; and 3. indemnify me against any tax bills re: our big win - are in with me on a equal 3 way split of my share should the Crew win. (That's a long sentance but you get my idea?) Lottery winnings are tax-free in Canada but I don't think that's the case in the U.S. I'm not sure when the NJ Lottery closes so hopefully, this is not too late. Also, no hiding behind user names, my partners have to have their real names in their profile. Good luck to all of us.

I just went back and reviewed Patti's rules and all had to be done by 7 PM EDT - so my above post is no good. Sorry about that. I would offer to do the same thing provided that we do it again and that I get in to the list before cut-off. If the next one (???) is within the next 6 days, I will miss it as I am off to Alabama on Thursday for the weekend of NASCAR events at Talledega.

Jim - Great photo of your son. A wonderful idea for a picture.

Great picture! If we win, half of my millions go to your great looking kid. Down payment on his college education.
  • subaru_teamsubaru_team Member Posts: 1,676
    The winning numbers were:

    7-10-25-26-27- big money ball - 23

Note: I did not say we weren't winners. How could anyone say that about this Crew? I hear that there are three tickets that will share the jackpot.

Jimmy P. - great photo - I love the sign!! Your son is a cutie.

Well, off to another day. I think I'm going to drop a check to the American Cancer Society anyway. Subaru does matching gifts, so it will be a nice way to wrap this fun up.

Thank you to everyone for the fun. Maybe next time???

Someone bought one of three winning tickets in Union County in NJ. Is there a Subie driver out there with the ticket?

Aww, Jim, we'll have to name Ryan the Official Subaru Crew Vice President in charge of Warm and Fuzzy Feelings! *sniff*

I hope an SoA employee won, or someone we know.

PS This is the #1 topic on Edmunds. In more ways than one.

Cool pic, Jim. He looks ready to rally.

Loosh - Those Aussies are cool. WRX cop cars, Outback ambulances, etc. IIRC they also use Foresters as ambulances or some type of rescue.

They rescue lots of owners from the boredom of the alternative small SUVs.

He's a very good boy, or at least that's what he would tell you. He got to crawl all through the WRC. He also wanted to come home and watch videos of the "racecar he sat in" racing on dirt roads, which I did manage to find on iClub. He will own a Subaru, and I just pray that, when he gets his license in 12 1/2 years, Subaru of America is still as autonomous as it is today, or more so, and that my B4 is about 10 years old to give to him. Again, thanks for the nice comments. And thanks again to Paisan for getting about 6-8 meg worth of pictures posted in what seemed like 10 minutes!

    Cool pix.

You raced a BRAT? Welcome to the Crew. You've been a member all along and just didn't realize it.

We have a few members out in Texas, maybe you could invite them to your next event?

    Patti,

Thanks again for arranging our little lottery venture.

When I heard that there was a winning ticket in NJ, it let me dream, even if only for a fleeting moment.

Don't want to sound corny, but we've already hit the jackpot here in terms of an online community. Kind of cool that we already have this without any financial incentive.
