Maybe that was Patti, though. I gotta call him and see if he bought a new Subaru. LOL

Spent a week driving around Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island in a rental (my wife wasn't up to a 12-14 hour drive). It was our way to escape the convention in the city. Very nice up there- I would love to go back. It is definitely Subaru country up there, especially PEI. We would be driving along and have the road go form paved 2 lane to a dirt road for a couple of miles, then back to pavement. Also took some dirt roads to get to the remote lighthouses.
I was able to use the Garmin GPS -loved the protabiltity. It made it a lot easier to get around and find remote places.
Pat -give our best to Ann Marie. Hope the seizures clear up.
Serge- hang in there. Hopefully Ivan will pass you folks by.
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day holiday!
Mark
Don't worry, I'll just be a nice light rain to water your lawns.

Here is the recipe for a Caipirinha, Brazil's national drink:
1 lime
1 cup of ice
1-2 tablespoons of sugar (to taste)
1 shot of cachaca
Cut a fresh lime into quarters, press in a glass to squeeze out the juice. Leave the rind in the glass. Fill will ice, then add sugar and cachaca and stir.
Drink it sloooowly, you gotta savor it and let the ice melt a little, that stuff is like moonshine.
I hope that's all that Tropical Storm juice brings you, Serge.

Sugar to taste, neeways.
Funny thing is that the alcohol is derived from - sugar cane! That's right, so it's naturally sweet to begin with.
Did I mention I have a sweet tooth?

juice: I've had caipirinhas, nice warm-weather drink along with mojitos (which are best had in Puerto Rico). My grandparents grew a small amount of sugar cane on their farm - just enough for the children of all ages to whack down a stalk and have a chew.

It's native to Recife, probably the biggest crop where I'm from. Great to chew on.
If you're lazy they even squeeze the juice out of it for ya. It comes out a nasty green/brown color but it tastes better than it looks, I swear!

Not going to file a claim for the windshield. Deductible is $500 so would likely have to pay for it all anyway. That and keep paying for it later with higher rates. Besides I've got $100 Subaru bucks and a $25 Visa gift card (finally) to use.
As for the cloth vs. leather... well it is just the insert in the door we're talking about so I doubt the breathability will make much difference. Do need to give the leather some treatment though. Any recommendations? Nevermind I'll do a search in the care and cleaning discussion.
Got the oil changed today and took a browse through the showroom. Dealership had a white GT Ltd. Wagon with the Taupe leather and an Atlantic Blue GT Ltd. sedan with the charcoal. Boy do they look pretty on the floor. There was also a Regal Blue 2.5i wagon with cloth. All those colors are very nice. I don't think you can go wrong. It was really cool seeing them all together so you could compare.
Pat - Great grass! I love walking barefoot on a nice green lawn. The soft cool grass feels great on bare feet. No lawns at our condo's so I've got to admire opl's (other people's lawns). ;-)
Loosh - What kind of road bike did you settle on? Sounds like something special if their keeping you appraised of it's progress through the paint booths.

I am probably the only one who can see the up-side of a big storm. Loss Adjusters like me get a lot of our work out of storm damage and a bunch of my Australian colleagues have just flown into the Bahamas to help out. I gather my US colleagues are pretty busy with the storms you've already had in Florida.
My wife says we are like undertakers; unwelcome until needed.
Cheers
Graham
I'll make sure I rain on Ian's freshly washed Subie after the windbag comment. ;-)
Interesting job, Graham. Must require a patience but also a dose of skepticism.

You probably already have heard more about me from Mark than I cared to share
Glad you had a good trip, and dinner at the Elk was a better offer for sure! I'll take that rain check!
Cheers!
Paul
Good to hear everyone's back safely. I didn't exactly take a "road trip", but spent a two nights in Milan, on business, over the holiday weekend.
Thanks for not posting too much, it allowed me to get caught up quickly now that I'm back.
Jim
Juice- Did you really mean it to rain on Ian?- Next time can you make sure to warn me before it rains on my car too! ;-)
Rain sure beats the Hurricaine, though.
Wet in Seattle

Paul - Yes, a raincheck it is. Sorry to pass up your generous tour offer for dinner, but dinner time it was. Say hello to Mark for me.

In any event, both the text copies and images are fairly easily found on other Legacy and TSX specific owners' forums. The issues are also available in newsstands now.
Basically, the R&T review rated the two much closer in handling than C&D did. They also placed less emphasis on interior amenities in the overall score.

PENSACOLA, Fla. - A man who tried to shoot seven puppies was shot himself when one of the dogs put its paw on the revolver's trigger.
Jerry Allen Bradford, 37, was charged with felony animal cruelty, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday. He was being treated at a hospital for a gunshot wound to his wrist.
Bradford said he decided to shoot the 3-month-old shepherd-mix dogs in the head because he couldn't find them a home, according to the sheriff's office.
On Monday, Bradford was holding two puppies - one in his arms and another in his left hand - when the dog in his hand wiggled and put its paw on the trigger of the .38-caliber revolver. The gun then discharged, the sheriff's report said.
Deputies found three of the puppies in a shallow grave outside Bradford's home, said sheriff's Sgt. Ted Roy.
The other four appeared to be in good health and were taken by Escambia County Animal Control, which planned to make them available for adoption.
Our dawgs are sur smart>>>
Patti, no replacement tree...the one that we lost completely was REALLY ugly! and near our bedroom window; I'm just going to pull out the stump and cover over with grass (what you folks up north call weeds!).
One of the first things Michael said when he got back from camp..."I want to move to New Jersey!"
I guess I'm close to Mother Nature, eh? Wild.
Well, that guy deserved it, hope the dogs are OK.

Yep, that's what you use. The Palm Wood one looks like what most Brazilians use.

I've been saying it all along, the supposed Saab improvements have been in the Forester for years, and the Impreza now has the same stuff.
Bet you sold a couple of WRXs right then and there.
