Just curious (and cross-threading a bit here), but there was mention in the '05 Legacy/Outback thread about the add'l NE costs, and someone mentioned hopping a train and buying from the DC area. Would the savings be that significant in price to offset getting down there? Granted, it would make the first 1k go a bit quicker...
While i'm at it, now that the Saabaru 92X is out, any chance of the WRX getting a sunroof? The one thing i wish i had in mine, although i hope to be upgrading to an OXT shortly... Just curious!

Patti, as it's my birthday at the end of the week, please convince SOA to bring over the 3.0 R-B that Graham mentioned in post 21882. Doesn't have to be immediately, a year or two will be okay. I'm sure that juice will then dive off the fence!

The timing was a coincidence, but we visted our daughter in Western VA (she's working to become a Pastry Chef).
Had a very nice dinner and a great cake. The twisties were FUN and will be better next time with 17's and a short throw shifter. :-)

WRX sedan had a moonroof option, but not the wagon, not even for 2005. 2006 maybe?

I have the Google pop-up blocker installed and I haven't seen any Auto-by-Tel ads come up.

Edmunds is (thankfully) pop-up free, which is more than you can say for a lot of automotive web sites.
The worst offender is prolly Motor Trend. I refuse to even follow links there.

Chat reminder for tonight!

Actually, in hindsight I did have a Forester GT/STi grille, with the infamous pink badge (Pleiades cluster, not "i") and came from Australia, on my first Forester. I got tired of keeping the big chrome bars polished and I liked the subtle difference of the black mesh. OTOH there was that "bling" factor of having an STi badge on a non-STi car, so I wouldn't do it again. I removed the grille and put the original back on the car when I traded it in, so I imagine I could sell it to someone.
Related: I may have to travel to my company's Tokyo office early next year, so maybe a parts run in order...?

Catch you soon.

Any how, I had to share what I thought was a HILARIOUS moment with Patti.
So she gets a new loaner, and Outback, and we ask what it is. She says it's black and it's a "base" car.
Plugging her for details, we find out it's an Outback Limited with Sportshift, heated leather, moonroof, loaded to the gills, accessorized, pearlescent paint, but ... no turbo.
So to Patti, no turbo = "base" model. I was ROTFL after that...

sorry I missed the chat, had a toilet fill valve thing that needed replacing tonight.

But for those "in the know" with earlier advice regarding the uhh...erm, side effects of Percoset- I am happy to report that the 36 hour drought has ended.

Loosh: that's right, no laughing. Go spend the rest of the week in the Problems and Solutions threads. ;-)
Any pics from the event, Dennis?
Speaking of which, who's going to this?

There is one in Baltimore. It should be like what Bob and I got to do in Vegas, at least I hope so. You guys gotta go and report back to us!

I cancelled my registration for the Challenge; between the surgery and my broken lateral links, I decided it would be more stress than fun at this point.
Plus, it is in Baltimore the way that other car event was in "D.C."- almost an hour away.
FWIW, Garden State was excellent. Both my wife and I loved it. Good character depth.
Yeah, Ripken field is way north, outside the Baltimore beltway IIRC. It's right by I-95 so I see it often, even though I've never been there.

Ripken field is well outside the Beltway..it's 2-3 counties away.
