They say it blocks cameras from seeing your plates at given angles...
Easyrider, yeah, I don't think the M is a match for the Q. Espically at a stop light, I think if you were on the freeway, you might have not felt so bad, but the M is not a stoplight hopper, but on the freeway, watch out.. Heh, going 60mph, auto stick it to 2nd gear and stomp on it, I love that feeling... =D

They are also in Canada, & have a shop here in FL too. All they list is for the 99 300M, but they will fit all years. You have to know if you have the PHP or not. The PHP rotors are a little bigger, & will not fit a non PHP 300M. They also have pads, but you may be better getting the pads elswhere. I got all 4 PHP rotors & pads, & anti rust coating for around $400.
the most I do is just wipe down the most visible areas with a damp cloth or with windex--

The Eaglite 194 bulbs are whiter, and perhaps brighter, than the 192 bulbs in the map lights. I will soon find out if the MAX 194 bulbs are the same, and some other 194-sized bulbs. I suspect that they are all the same 12V 5W blue-coated bulbs.

I have also ordered a few other blue-coated bulbs from other companies. I'll post my findings.
I installed the Xenon bulbs from midnightmoose.com and although they are a higher wattage than OEM and are not as dark blue as other bulbs, the light output is disappointing -- it just looks like I put a light-robbing blue filter in front of the lens. And I had to remove the front fascia to install them! I had hoped for the same results as the 212-2 replacements.
HerrmDogg -- Do you think these work better than OEM?
I would think that if Xenon bulbs were brighter, at least one company would offer them with no blue coating. A higher Kelvin color temperature is meaningless if less light gets through. Maybe if the blue coating were cut down by 2/3 they would be acceptable.

When rinsing, instead of a garden hose hooked up to an exterior faucet, you might try one of those pressurized sprayers used for bug or weed control. You know, the ones that have a tank, usually plastic, a hand air pump that screws into the top to pressurize the tank, and a hose with a wand plus flow control valve. You have more control over where the water goes and can adjust between spray and stream. You can use water of different temperature, as deemed appropriate for a particular job, something not available with the garden hose method. It doesn't have the potential for the higher pressure provided by the garden hose but that's not usually needed when rinsing down an engine after applying the engine cleaner product. Just remember, as with the garden hose method, to use something to prevent water from going into places (like your alternator) where it shouldn't be going.
I have a pressurized sprayer that is never used with anything but clean water or water with some detergent/cleaner. That way, I never have to worry about any chemical residue from using a sprayer that had insecticide or other chemicals in it.
I ment wedding.
The wheel medallions are called "ornament" part no. 4805455-AB and are for one of the vans, but they really set off the razor star wheels nicely at $15.08 each. I used some shoe goo in the factory manufactured opening that were on the back of them. So far with the factory stickum and the goo they have stuck like glue, and I have been in very hot weather and running 60-65mph so I think they will stay on ok.
I got the 300M trunk medallion, and then I cut the flag off the bottom and put the 300 on the center taillight. It was part no. 4805286-AC at $18.45. Unfortunately, having almost flunked "shop" in jr. high, my efforts to separate the flag from the 300 without scratching the chrome at the bottom of the numbers was only moderately successful. The two end numbers were a cinch, but the center 0 had a lot of contact area with the flag and I wasn't patient/skilled enough to do as good a job as someone with more skill/better tools could have. I added some touch-up silver on the area and it looks ok. Anyway, the idea is sound, and the 300 does look nice on the back, especially when the brake light is on. You have to be really within a foot of the trunk to see that I have some scratches on the 300 numbers. A second pair of hands or a vice would have helped.
Rogor2k--Try the wheel medallions. The do look great. Also I am placing a check order hopefully today and will advise on the results.
SDMike-- Consider a simple 300M design on the hats but tilt the numbers/letter in that NASCAR style like was on Earnhardt's car. And raised lettering would be super. I think the posted design is a little too "busy" for the front of the hat. Just my .02.
SmarTire -- My tire guys do not recommend this system (yet). They have had issues with the mounting straps breaking and they feel the units are too large, making it very difficult to mount the tires without damaging the unit. As a side note, they think the ones offered on the Corvette are better (but they cost $140 a corner and may pose other installation problems).

he's got some good stuff, i bet that exhaust sounds good.
Here is a link to a page that I'm maintaining with all types of information that is uncovered in this group. You'll find 300M official specification sheets (more information than you can digest), the part number document, an oil filter study, tire sizing guide, and other information. There is also a link to the 300mclub.org links page that has links to various vendors of 300M gear. Take a look sometime.

Yet another note, I would like to thank SCOTIAN for making up the clock overlay for me, it looks great. I will update my site with pics as soon as I put the overlay on. Also SCOTIAN, those Xenon hyperwhite bulbs ARE better than stock. I have them for my high and low beams as well as my trunk lights, door lights, map lights and glove box lights.
Yet another note, I really love that guys clear front turn signal markers. Anyone know where he got them? His head unit looks really familiar, the Alpine CVA-1005 (the one I used to have but I upgraded to the Alpine IVA-800).
Below is a pic of my new switchbox for my air suspension. Please go to my website to see all of my pics.
All -- What kind of bulbs do our fog lights take and where can I find overwattage blue-tinted replacement bulbs? If I'm going to keep these blue headlights, I need to have matching blue fog lights...

EASYRIDER300M - Do you have a way of contacting this guy? You said you saw him in a chat room on Yahoo! or something. If you know how to reach him can you let me know please?
Thanks !!
I wonder how hard it is to get the rear turn signal red like that.
I'd love that pic! Do you think your neighbor would mind? Does it have a ZAINO shine? :-)) I gave up trying to superimpose my car in front of your house! Can you blame me after what you saw!! LOL.. I only have some minimum software that came with my SONY digital camera. It lets me crop and erase etc., but when I go to save it and open it again, the background all comes back? I have an old version of Photoshop at work. I could try it there one of these days, but I'm leaving for West Palm Beach this Thursday for about 17 days. I'll try it when I get back. In the meantime, you could explain to your neighbor WHY you want to use their car for a prop! LOL.. Thanks.
I'm going to have to find web access somewhere in FL. I dread the thought of 17 days away from this group. It'll take me 2 months to catch up on all the messages that I miss.
