You were smart to buy the Odyssey EX instead of a Sienna and you paid about $ 1200 less for the superior Odyssey EX than I paid for my 2006 Sienna LE. :shades:
We got ours in Vallejo CA, at Avery Greene Motors. I would definitely recommend this dealer. The guys there were quick, courteous and to the point. They gave us a good quote in the first email reply.
We ended up getting it for 30873 + TTL + fees + extended warranty. Total was just under 35k. This is 2006 EXL with Navi/RES, Sage Brush Pearl. Lovely car!
I think I paid bit premium for 2007 model. What do you think?
My Honda salesman said Honda improved the 2007 transmission gear ratios compared to 2006.
:shades:
Mine OTD was higher though due to CA tax + 75k extended warranty.

We were told we could go back at any time during the first 3 years to get the extended warranty. The price however would then be around ~1800, so we decided to go for it as we signed the papers.
All the other accessories you can get through the internet at cheaper prices. Most of them are easily installable, or require no installation at all.
for another < $230 or so, you shoulda bot the 8yr/120k/$0 ded HC
How does it stack up? Any success stories on 2007 Touring?
Is this a good price? What are other people paying for the same vehicle? I live in NJ, not sure if this makes any difference.
Also what are people paying for extended warranties? I would like to get one for this vehicle as I plan on holding onto it for a long time.
Thanks in advance for any responses.
This was the best deal I could find after shopping 4 dealers.
And what does it cover/not cover?
Where is the best deal for the warranty?
Thanks!
- Cargo Board: $300
- Splash Guards: $150
- Cross Bars: $160
They also tried to sell me hard on the clear coat paint thingy w/ the dent protection, rust etc...(package A) which would cost $1K.
Any idea if the hondacare warranty is worth it? The finance mgr quoted $1,100 and if after 7years we dont use it we get our money refunded.
When you talk to them get their price from them and also ask them for what the invoice is on them. They are very generous w/ the info since they know that all that info is also readily available on the net.
I also think that they dont get paid based on the profit that they sell the car to you at. They are paid more on a widget basis. All they want to do is sell you a car at whatever cost the dealership will allow them to. Its all about volume for them. At least this is what Ive been told by the 3 or 4 reps that I spoke with.
Good luck
I was OTD at $34,500, but you really need to make sure you are comparing like for like.
For the EXL Nav & DVD the price was $31,600. Tax was $2,054, lic was $140, doc was $53. Total is $33,900. I got $600 bucks in accessories.
As anyone had to use theres and have good luck or bad luck?
I got a good quote on them I think?
Terms begin from the original Honda New Vehicle Limited Warranty in-service date.
7 years/100,000 miles warranty: ($100 deductible = $951.00) OR ($0 deductible = $1,051.00)
7 years/120,000 miles warranty: ($100 deductible = $1,051.00) OR ($0 deductible = $1,151.00)
8 years/100,000 miles warranty: ($100 deductible = $1,031.00) OR ($0 deductible = $1,131.00)
8 years/120,000 miles warranty: ($100 deductible = $1,131.00) OR ($0 deductible = $1,231.00)
Thanks!
Thanks.
The coverage is the same as in the original bumper to bumper warranty.
I don't know where you could find the best deal for this. I would just call around different dealerships. They all can sell it to you.
If anyone has anything else to say about it.... go find that forum.... those discussing prices are welcome to do that here..
Thanks,

As explained the quote that I am being given is $36500 +tax & fees, dealer invoice on the car is $35787.10, so pretty much $700 over invoice. Total out the door price will be $39657.50
You statement of getting the same EXACT car for $36900 OUT THE DOOR + roof bars, mud flaps, wheel locks and an extra set of all weather mats...plus first oil change at no extra charge, seems a little way too low of a price.
36900 otd will mean that the dealership sold you the car at about $34000, which is way below invoice! I mean this is an 07' model not a leftover 06' that we are talking about right? Not to mention that fact that you said they also included all of this other stuff free of charge?
Can you clarify this for me. Listen I'm not the type of guy who is going to go shopping around and haggling non-stop back and forth at 10 dealers to save $300, but the difference between 36900 otd and 39700 otd is a big 2800 difference which I will negotiate for.
Please what dealer is this that you got the car from. Mine is Planet Honda in Union, NJ.
In fact, one could easily buy the vehicle at issue for $36,900 out of door as I'll describe. When I bought my '05 Touring R&N the price I paid was $34,5xx (whatever invoice was in early '05). My OTD was $120.00 more than that (or $34,6xx) due to a $100 doc fee and title and license fees.
Why? Because I paid no sales tax - zero, none, zilch, zip.
Why? Because Ohio allows a tax offset on a trade and, in my case, the value of what was traded exceeded the new vehicle price.
The other (more typical) reason OTD discussions should be avoided is that sales tax rates vary (widely) by location.
Is there any rattling noise while you drive at 40-50 miles per hour?
Thanks
Thanks!
