    I wasn't quoted any price for a G35x, prem,nav,splash,whels,cargo.
I took the 07 invoice number 31221+150 increase in invoice (a number a dealer in spokane washington let slip out)=31371.
    I added invoice on the packages (p-1955, n-1853,splash-114, net-40, wheels-400)=35733.
The numbers quoted are from Edmunds, Aug. 14,2007. I padded the prem +145, nav +43, net +3, splash +4 to get close to what the 08s might be.
Not rocket science but no one had hard numbers at the time.
I have since asked the numerous posters, who were not very specific, and claim they got quotes, to list the dealers they got their numbers from and to list specific invoice pricing for specific packages.
When you post similar to 'I got mine with all the above for ...' it doesn't help anyone.

    Please be specific!

    Sorry if I sound frustrated.
Numbers and delear location please on an 08 G35x with prem, nav, wheels, splash and net. If you get numbers on a wood package, I'll look at that too.

    Thanks

I'm planning to buy a 2008 G35x through the VPP program when the new models arrive. If you're having trouble finding a salesman to accept VPP, you may try asking for the fleet sales manager instead.

I got nowhere with the two dealerships in town -- both salesmen wanted to move their '07 inventory now and suggested they might not even honor the VPP on the '08s at first (which is something a dealership can choose to do).

Then I noticed in the VPP materials that they recommend you contact the fleet sales manager as your starting point on VPP. I did that, and he was extremely polite and easy to work with. He looked into it and found out they had an '08 with the specs I wanted on order. He then handed me off to the orginial salesman to call me when it arrives and complete the transaction. He said I could call him anytime if I needed his help.

The experiences I had were night and day. Give the fleet manager a call first before you pull your hair out trying to get traction on the VPP with the floor reps. I'm also guessing everyone will be more receptive to '08 conversations after the quarter closes (this Sunday).

No doubt...the fleet sales team or internet team is definitely the way to go...but again, you have to keep your guard up a bit early on as the fleet manager can say yes to VPP, and the General Manager can say NO. It happened to me a couple of times before I finally found a dealership with a car on the lot that they wanted to get rid of. It had everything on it and I think they realized that most people wouldn't want EVERYTHING, so they were willing to move it on VPP.

I was quoted $33,624 for a 2007 G35 Journey with Premium, Nav and Tires. It seems like a great deal to me, from my calculation it's $300 under invoice.
  • david_fldavid_fl Member Posts: 17
The price you where quoted is a VERY good price and I would jump all over it.

The price you should look at which is a bit more important, is what the Out The Door (OTD) price would be. As they might have quoted you a price below invoice, they could stick you with some high dealer and other BS fees that, in reality, will actually make the cost of the car higher.

So, go back or call the dealer and ask what the OTD price is going to be and post that. But from what you have said, below invoice is a great price!
  • erinb510erinb510 Member Posts: 22
Good point! Here is the breakdown. Still a good deal???

    2007 G35 Journey + Prem and Nav

    Selling price- $33,624
DOC fee- $345.75 ($55.00 for Documentation fee from State of California, $282 for Licensing fees by the State of California, and a California Tire Fee of $8.75)
    Taxes- $2,506.39 (7.45%)

Plus, I'm doing my own financing and not trading in a car, so they can't screw me there.

    Still a good deal???
  • psunowpsunow Member Posts: 19
I cut and pasted the exact deal. The invoice seems to match up with KBB. The only think I'm not sure about is the dealers prep...seems a bit high. But, either way...seems like a good deal.

    BLACK OBSIDIAN, GRAPHITE

    Invoice MSRP
    BASE $31,221 $33,950
    CGO $37 $50
    TRUNK CARGO NET
    NAV $1,810 $2,100
    NAVIGATION PKG
    PRM $1,982 $2,300
    PREMIUM PACKAGE
    SGD $114 $150
    SPLSH GRDS NONSPT
    WOD $388 $450
    WOOD TRIM
    50S $0 $0
    50 STATE EMISSION
    Freight Charge $715 $715
    Total $36,267 $39,715

If they aren't charging anything else like a destination fee or registration then it sounds like a very good deal.
  • erinb510erinb510 Member Posts: 22
The destination fee was rolled into the selling price. Is the registration fee standard? There has been no mention of this fee.
  • sprinkler13sprinkler13 Member Posts: 455
Registration is dependent on location. I'm in So. Cal and I think I paid about $310 for mine. I've certainly seen less in other parts of the country.
  • andywattyandywatty Member Posts: 16
Thank you very much for the numbers. Where did you get this deal on the G35x?

Remember, "Freight" or "Destination Charge" or whatever they want to call that $715 is already included in the "Invoice". If it's listed and you pay it, you've probaly paid it twice.
Your total of "dealer cost" is not accurate. You listed "invoice" which may or may not (most likely not) be the actual dealer cost. Dealer cost is usually lower than listed invoice (not much but...).
    So, 715 + 500 + (part of that 275 dealer prep)+ ? = "PROFIT"
  • sprinkler13sprinkler13 Member Posts: 455
Actually...I think that he is correct on his numbers. If you check Edmunds you will see that he listed the base invoice and then added freight after which is correct. That is the true invoice number. Where people need to be careful is when they get the invoice number from edmunds and then they get a quote of THAT number plus 'X' amount of dollars plus destination.

    Hi,

First post here but thought I would post the lease deal I did this weekend. I feel like I got a good deal, looking for some feedback.

    07 Coupe 6MT Graphite/Graphite
    - premium
    - nav
    - aero
    - painted splash
    - cargo net
    - mats
    - sirius
    dealer installed options
    - 3M clear bra
    - wheel locks
    - nitro fill
    MSRP 40590
    cap/adj cap 37750
    42mo/12k 485/mo .00182mf 54% residual
    tax+first+595 acquisition out of pocket

cap was about 750 higher than the edmunds "what others are paying" value but I figured the dealer add ons were worth that and I had planned to get the clear bra anyway. Let me know what you think.
  • psunowpsunow Member Posts: 19
Yes..KBB also list freight as a legit charge and the numbers match almost exactly. I purchased the car on Saturday after the sales manager removed the $275 "dealer prep" charge. So..indeed I got the car for $500.00 over invoice which I think is a fair deal all around.
  • andywattyandywatty Member Posts: 16
Want to pay MSRP? Shop Beaverton Infiniti in Oregon. The internet dealer was very polite and I'm sure smiled as he told me he would gladly sell me the car at a "DISCOUNTED PRICE"! "G35X Blue Slate with Graphite Interior Prem, Nav, Tech Package with Wood Trim with a MSRP of $40.865 we will sell you that car at $39.945" WOW! A $920.00 discount! How can they do that?!
My suggestion, take your money elsewhere!

auto with premium package i was quoted for 33000. is it a good deal?
  • dwynnedwynne Member Posts: 4,018
Invoice for the auto coupe w/premium pack is $33,934 for the 07. Edmunds does not show the October incentives yet, if any, for the left over coupes but I would guess there should be $1,500 to $2,000 in dealer money on them and/or cheap money financing. So I would wait until the incentives are available, but it would seem to me you could do better.

  • rexzyrexzy Member Posts: 7
Thanks, I think there was tire package with summer tires on this car, brining invoice to like 34600 so it seems i'd be getting about 1500 under invoice discount.
  • dwynnedwynne Member Posts: 4,018
The tire and wheel package on an 07 coupe:

    •Wheels: 18 in. 7-Spoke Aluminum Alloy .•Tires: P225/45R18 Fr & P245/45R18 Rr W-Rated
Low Profile tires with 225mm width, 18.0" rim .

Is $650 at MSRP and $561 at invoice.

I've got one lease under my belt with a 2007 Lexus RX400h, but am posting the offer I received today for a 2008 G35 Journey with Nav, Premium, Tech pkgs and wood trim (VPP Pricing). I'd love to have any feedback on whether the terms are solid.

    MSRP - $39,175
    Cap Cost - $35,981.93
    39 month 12k miles/year
    MF of 0.00249
    57% residual
    monthly payment of $495.26 + 7% tax = $529.93
    $1,356.17 to cover acquisition, 1st month's payment and TT&L.

    -or-

    MSRP - $39,175
    Cap Cost - $35,981.93
    36 month 12k miles/year
    MF of 0.00241
    59% residual
    monthly payment of $499.88 + 7% tax = $534.87
    $1,361.06 to cover acquisition, 1st month's payment and TT&L.

You might want to just post your least question in the lease form and not both. Easier to have a "discussion" if you only have one message thread.

Thanks, I found this thread after my original post through a different route and didn't know they were so closely linked.

I'd love to share my info. with others if they are considering leases for new 2008's.
  • dwynnedwynne Member Posts: 4,018
I am still waiting on the 08 buy rate numbers - IFS had no rates for the 08 sedans for September since they just hit the lots in the last few days.

I had a dealer order me the car I wanted with no obligation over 3 months ago and they called and said it was hitting the lot this week. I have no deposit and can get out of taking it just by saying "no". I was concerned what the rates would be between the time I was looking at 07 sedans and when the ordered car would be in. I am thinking the price may be a good bit more than I could have paid months ago - had I found the right car.

If all else fails, I would say no and watch the rates each month and hope it was still in stock when the rates get better :)

I was wondering if anyone has recently been able to get any G35 sedan with the navi and perf package and walking out the door only paying $35000? Im trying to make this happen.

    Thanks
  • lustigdlustigd Member Posts: 6
Best offer I have found is: 2007 G35 coupe with premium package, sports package, splash guards, cargo net. Your internet sale price is 33081. Below are the lease payments with 1k down, 15k miles a year and include all fees that you had requested.....

    24 months 491
    36 months 468
    39 months 454
    42 months 446

All payments plus your county sales tax.

Is this pretty good? I am new to leasing; what other info do I need? (the dealer is in Atlanta)

An 07 journey sedan with premium/nav/tire & wheel packages has an invoice of $34,368 and there are no known dealer incentives on the 07 sedans.

So you could probably get the car for #35,000 or less not counting taxes, title, tags, and other fees. If you are talking "OTD" for $35k then you are either dreaming or live in a state with no sales tax - or you will have to wait for Infiniti to put some dealer money on the left over sedans.

Is this an auto or 6mt coupe? You can't get the "sports tuned suspension" with the splash guards - so says the web page anyway.

$34,088 is the invoice for an auto with premium, splash, and net. With sports suspension, premium, and net (no splash) it is $35,313. So depending on the actual sticker and equipment on the car the $33,081 is a good/great price IF that includes the destination fee. I would get they "forgot" to put that in the quote and added it back in. At $715 it can take a good deal into bad quickly.

I have no idea if the payments are good or not since if they include taxes I have no idea what you taxes are like, nor do I know what the fees are, etc.

I would pin them down on the price and the equipment on the car, then pick a term and ask for the raw numbers - the residual, the money factor, and a list of any and all fees and taxes that they have added into the deal. They could have stuck the $715 on there and maybe a $500 doc fee too, you just don't know.

    Picked up my 2007 G35X on 9/29

    Premium Package
    Wood
    Sirius (dealer, not factory, installed)
    Cargo Net
    Splash Guards
    Destination

    MSRP=$37,615
Invoice=$35,057 (incudes $600 for dealer installed Sirius)
    Price Paid = $35,169.19
    39/mo 15K Lease
    MF=.00193
    Residual=55% of MSRP
    Mo/Payment = $522.23
    Due at signing= Acquistion Fee ($648.55) + First mo payment ($522.23) + New Tags, etc ($133.50) = $1,304.28

Also got 3 mos of Sirius free and the first 2 regularly scheduled mainteance items free.

I am generally happy w/ the deal, but a bit annoyed that they could not find a car w/ Sirius factory installed. That would have saved me some money.

Just got the following quotes G35x with premium, technology, and navigation packages:

    2008
MSRP of $40215 OTD purchase price of $37,586.

    2007
MSRP is $40365 OTD price on it is $37,427

    Any thoughts?

  • brassplatedbrassplated Member Posts: 4
Invoice for the '08 is about $36,857. Are you sure the otd price of 37,586 really is otd and includes tax, title, plates, etc?

I was quoted sticker price on a '08 g35x (~39,000 OTD) without the premium, tech or nav. What dealer in NJ is this? I would be willing to drive out.

I am considering the purchase of a new 08 G35x sedan. While I was happy to hear that they are offering the 08 G35x with the sport upgrade, I am disapointed that you can't get the wood interior trim with that option. Why not?
For as much money as these are - you would think that getting the interior trim you want wouldn't be a problem.

  • dwynnedwynne Member Posts: 4,018
That sounds good to me. Last month left over coupes were doing 0.00174 - 0.00180, so 0.00142 is even better. 56% is a pretty good residual for a left over car as well.

I did find out that the dealer incentive can't be combined with these cheap lease numbers. So you should be able lease around invoice with the cheap lease or buy/3rd party lease at invoice less incentive.

    Terms: 24 months

What is the MSRP? Is what you are calling the "sports package" the Sport-Tuned Suspension Package or the tire package or ??? My lit says you can't get the suspension pack and the splash guards on the same car - and that is an expensive option.

Invoice on an 07 with the sports suspension, premium, and mat is $35,377, without the suspension and with splash = $34,152

There is a $2,500 dealer incentive on the left over 07 coupes, but I have been told (by several folks) that it can't be combined with the cheap lease deal. But it would appear that you quote includes both a cheap lease (3.4% effective) and your price reflects the $2,500 the dealer expects for moving the coupe. I would sign the paperwork and drive off in the car before the dealer figures out that they are going to lose money if they lease you the car using these numbers :) .

Was shopping around for a 2007 G35x but came across a deal for the 2008 that I thought was pretty decent. Got the 2008 G35x with Prem, Nav, Splash guards and cargo net for Invoice+400$.

    Paid 36069(Invoice) + $400 + $100(doc fee) + Taxes and tags for $38.5k.

That is a nice price for a new 08 G, VPP pricing is only $125 or so less. Enjoy your new car.

Why is every dealer in the NY/NJ area quoting me MSRP for an 08 g35x? To me, that's a great price maverick_g35..I got a quote higher without any packages! :)

I been reading this thread for a while, seems like a price under a grand over the invoice price is good.

Anyone can name a dealer in the NJ/NY area that offered them a good price for an 08?
  • dwynnedwynne Member Posts: 4,018
If there are enough folks willing to pay full price, then there is no need for the dealers to drop the price. Winter is coming and the AWD models probably are in high demand up there. It is also the start of the new model year and cars are in generally short supply, waiting farther into the model year when dealers have tons of cars sitting on the lots should net better prices.

I would not be afraid of travelling a bit to get a deal. If the snow belt dealers won't come off MSRP then pick up an x GA or some place and drive it back - you may be able to save enough to make it worth your while. I once got a new 'vette convertible from a dealing in Wisconsin in late November - they were highly motivated to get rid of the car and even paid 1/2 the car hauler fee to bring it to me.

I just bought a G37S 6MT in Northern NJ from Lynnes Infiniti in Bloomfield. Ivory Pearl with Black Interior, Nav, Premium, Body Colored Splash Guards, trunk mat, trunk net.

    MSRP:$42025
Paid:$41000 + the rest of the usual nonsense txes but Lynnes included 2 free oil changes and the winter all weather mats too. And i wanted the car and specifically from Lynnes as they are moving to Totowa which is where i live so this worked out great for me.

I felt this was a tremendous deal because at Ramsey Infiniti, Infiniti of Denville, and Ray Catena, they would NOT BUDGE ONE PENNY! The best any of th other offered me was free all weather mats.

As for the Car, whoa! I love it!!! its amazing, although the tech toys are just adding icing to this cake!!! I came from a Mustang GT convertible, so if anyone else is coming from an American Muscle car, and is worried, don't be, this is a step in another direction but one that is just as much fun and fast with a lot more luxury!!! :)

Not sure what you consider a good deal although Infiniti of Greenwich in CT offered $1500 over invoice for an 088, $300 over invoice for an 07'. CT dealers add in $249 or $299 doc fee.

I've actually extended my search to Ramsey Infiniti. Wow they really don't get it.

Whomever contacted us after our web inquiry could not produce numbers for an 07' or 08' after five days, they finally called back with the, "You'll be around XXX.XX"

Thanks but no thanks, not sure exactly who they are selling cars to that except this. My wife and I seem to easily walk right out or stop the dialogue when information is not disclosed
