That company in West Palm hired me...couldn't wait much longer so called them. He was out of the office but called me back in 10 minutes and said I'm in! Told him I am ready to start in the morning so this is a good thing...a better run organization on paper so we'll see how it pans out. Now I'll keep USA on hold for awhile to see what happens there...don't want to tell them to go "F" themselves quite yet...want the appropriate time to do it. And I will let the owner know at that time why I did quit and about the unfairness...doubt she'll care though! Not even gonna post it on fb for a bit...want to keep things under the hat for the time being since Hertz hasn't said yes or no yet and don't want to jinx that job, my "dream job"!
I am very blessed today and very happy...thank you G-d!!!

As others have said, give it time. If you feel the need to do something just update the listing once a week which will put it at the top of the list. If you have priced it fairly you shouldn't start bidding against yourself by lowering the price. Any buyer will only try to grind you down from whatever price you ask. Leave yourself some room. If the car is worth $9995 to you and no one else, keep it. You can always sell it in a year or two.
If you want to get down and dirty you can do what guys like that Mustang seller did and include a million keywords in your ad so it comes up in every search. That seems kind of like cheating to me but a lot do it in your area.

So true. I'm a low mileage junkie. I'd buy that 47k miles in a heartbeat especially if I saw the mature gentleman seller with the cane. I'd figure it wasn't abused.

Yes indeed. Last concurrence of the two holidays for the next 79,000 years. Happy Hanukkah. Forget about cars, enjoy your family.
Ooops, did I really say that?

Hoping this new company will do things better...already I know the chase driver doesn't choose the crew, the dispatcher does, so I need to make nice with her and not decline much. I will be my nice self and see where that leads and hopefully I will start working regularly now like I was for a short while there! I miss driving!

Put the third tank of gas into it this morning - I'm getting a shade under 27MPG so far, but with only 900 miles on the odometer, I expect that the engine isn't fully broken in yet. About 90% or more city driving.
As far as the amenities go, I'm really smitten. Love the heated seats - two stages, no less. Nice when delivering in freezing (or below) temps. 'Comfort' setting for steering is nice for getting around town, especially when making the all-to-frequent U-turns to get to an address. Loving the 3-month XM trial - have to decide to extend the subscription in February.
Quiet, roomy (enough for 50 pizzas!), practical - checks off all the boxes for me.
I do have one problem -- I took a look at the gas log for the last year I had the Saturn. As of 11/6/12 I had 80,xxx miles, and with the last tank on 11/2/13 it had 98,xxx miles. If I'm allowed 15K a year and I'm averaging 18K, there may be a big decision looming at lease end as to whether I keep it or not.

Won $200 at the casino today and can't wait to get back to reinvest !!!
Two things I'm not happy about - the tires aren't all that great in snow and the horn has quite the wimpy tone.

The Dunlops on the GLI have good dry traction and outstanding wet traction. Haven't driven them in the snow yet.

unless you are pretty sure you will need to replace them before turning it in. If that is the case, buy some good quality ones now, stash the cheap OEMs in the garage, and just have them put back on before giving the car back.
I am overall liking what I am hearing about the GT. I like them anyway. Maybe next year (year after?) when I have a need for a cheap deal on a new small car, I might get one too!

Corvette, where do we stand with the punch list and guesses? I ask since the time is near to start placing guesses for 2014. would be good to see the punch list for 2012 and 2013 as a baseline.
I figure breld is good for 3 or 4 a year.

I'm finding there is quite a bit of truth in that. The town I live in has a number of hills, and the tranny holds onto lower gears longer than I'd like. I can slide the shift lever over and manually upshift (4th to 5th) then bring the lever back to D and all is well.
Perhaps its still in "learning" mode. Perhaps it's because I'm using "Eco" mode. I'll continue to play around with it and see. Nothing serious, just a little aggravating.

breld has five punches so far this year. And the year's not over yet!
1st day at new job went well and think I will like it much better though I do have to drive an extra 12 miles to get there. Did a couple runs for Avis going from Ft. Myers to Lauderdale in the pouring rain and got to drive a Volvo S60 and a Ford Explorer so was pretty happy. Tried to get an Enclave but was beaten out by someone else. Didn't see the Sonata but truthfully, the Volvo was pretty sweet. And my flash drive worked in both so I had my tunes. Brought a sandwich but had to eat Mickey D's on the fly but was extremely careful. This crew says this is the way they do it...either bring your own or eat on the fly. Will make the best of it here. Hopefully Hertz will come through and then I can do both if I want to. Won't quit USA quite yet, just won't be available when they call and if they stop, so be it as I think their days are numbered anyways. Do miss my buds there but finding out that if I don't text them to say "hey", no one will take the bull by the horns and just do it to me...a bit surprised by this to as I became quite close with a few of them...or so I thought.
Anyways...lemonade out of lemons...right!!!

That may be part of it. The ION's tires are 195-65/15, while the E-GT wears 205-55/16.

So, here we are, waiting on any offer and doing nothing. plan B of the new head unit is still viable while Plan C is just out there and could also work but, there's always a but, the Tuscon is a bit pricey for the Limited and makes more sense to get the Verano if I go new. Haven't tried the Subaru yet and still want to so I do nothing. Guess it's usual for most folks to look and look and then agonize a bit before the actual purchase...and that's where we are now. And the Civic keeps on plugging along and always gets me to where I need to be. maybe G-d is telling me something here...maybe I should listen!!!

BTW, wifey has a CT200h and loves it. It's actually quite fun to drive and around 50 mpg is frosting on the cake. I like the Verano but haven't driven one.
Good luck.
Enjoy the Civic while you still have it; you'll remember it fondly, I suspect. :P
EDIT: Took a look at the new Verano. It's a nice-lookin' car! And, it even comes with a manual transmission! I'm not ready to consider paying at or near 30K for a car yet, but that'd be the only Verano I'd consider.

and one person out of state offered more than I sold it for.
I would give it some time, and I would list it on cars.com or autotrader. Make sure you list the VIN number because serious buyers will want to check out its history. Lots of pictures are good and the more information about the car,
the better because it shows you have nothing to hide.
By the way I sold my Crossfire SRT-6 for around $5,000 more than Edmunds said it was worth in a private party sale.
"Would you say it is Buick-quiet? (I'm sorta assuming the higher-end big Lexi are even quieter than Buick)."
No, the hybrid engine (with the gerbils working hard) is noticeable, as well as the on-and-off of the i.c.e., is not Buick quiet.
Sounds like a dream car. The Crossfires were something of a flop for Chrysler but the SRT have something of a cult following. If you could afford to throw one in the barn for 20 years it would be a collectable car.
I had the opportunity to drive a non SC one when they first came out and was intrigued but the cramped nature, and so-so performance made it tough to justify $35k.

2019 Kia Soul+, 2015 Mustang GT, 2013 Ford F-150, 2000 Chrysler Sebring convertible
They were going to ask $500 btw.
That's life in the UP.
I sold it summer of 2013 for $16.5K. It was a great weekend car. In stock form it was capable of 13 second 1/4 mile times and turned heads everywhere. With a pulley and a tune some have gotten into the 11 second
range.
Drawbacks of course was the cramped cockpit and a suspension only engineered for smooth roads.
Only 2000 SRT coupes and 1000 roadsters were built and low mileage examples might well become collectible.
gotta say, 1:00 on the day before Thanksgiving, on a nasty cold rainy day, is a good time to go look. Most of the time, we were the only non-employees in the place.
anyway, we find a nice 2011 328ix to drive. Black over saddle, 22K on it. So salesgirl drove back to the racetrack (TJC knows the place). had to stop because we were hearing a "thump thump" noise. Sounded like a flat, but I think it may have been a flatspot after sitting? Anyway, I got to drive it. Nice handling, but seemed outdated almost without many of the new goodies cars have these days.
Sat in an F90 (2013) inside. Like the interior better. No clue if I would like driving it or not, but that is way out of the price range.
so wandered back to Acura. Sat in the ILX again, and daughter loved it. Felt more comfortable to her, liked the back up cam, bluetooth, etc. Overall, just seems to be a better "fit". will have to go back sometime to drive one again. Interesting though, she wanted the ILX much more than a more used BMW. ILX really is a nice car though, even if it is a bit down on grunt. I do like the size and feel of the Acura though.
so, we shall see!

I remember seeing a bunch of them in a rental lot at Tampa airport. I think the impression that the Germans were trying to foist their obsolete technology on American buyers gave the car a black eye.
I loved the styling of the Crossfire better than the SLK it was based on.
The non-SC base model MSRPed for about $35. If I could have snagged an SRT for that price I might have mortgaged something to buy it.

the 2.4l engine is still just available with the stick I believe. Basically a Civic Si in a tux.
at some point, I imagine the TSX goes away, and the ILX will get the bigger engine with an AT and less sporty garb.
