That is the base rate; can't go any lower than that. Since it's a new model I'm not surprised that it's high; might decrease as the year goes on.

Hey Everyone. Just picked up mine (financed). Mythos Black 2015 A3 Premium Plus Quattro. Packages: Audi MMI Nav, Premium Plus, Technology and Convenience. MSRP $42,720. price paid $37,299.00. Please advise if this was a good price paid. This was in Edison NJ with Jason. I had a tentative deal with Freehold Audi for A3 Packages: Audi MMI Nav, Premium Plus, MSRP 40420. They wanted 37299 as well but the guy at Bell said he would give me a better car for the same price and I jumped on it. The car is great and has all the amenities. I specially like the weather mats that I got for the winter month. I wont be ruining my regular mats. Let me know what you guys think of this deal.

Do you have August money factor and residual for 2016 A3 1.8 or 2.0 Premium? 36 / 7,500 miles. Inventory in the 2015's that aren't loaded up is dwindling, so curious how much worse the lease programs are for the 2016. Any lease cash or other incentives available?

Hello, I was hoping to get some input on whether this is a good deal or not:

    2016 A3 1.8 Premium, 36/12
MSRP $34,325 (I think this includes a $925 destination charge)
    Sales price $30,775
    Down payment $3,000
    MF 0.00159
    Residual 58%
    Payment $345 with tax (California)

We'll be putting less down (as little as possible) since we've learned down payments on leases are a bad idea - we didn't know that when we started talking numbers with the dealer over the weekend though.

The MF is a bit high, but the sales price compared to MSRP is quite low. Is it still worth asking about a lower MF, or is the sales price so low I should let that go?

With decreasing the down payment, should I expect the dealer to try to change the MF, or no?

    Thank you kindly :)

The dealer is looking to make some money somewhere - either through the selling price or the MF. I'd work to get the base MF from the dealer along with a 4-6% discount from sticker. Others have been able to achieve that.

Yes, down payment on a lease is not a good idea. However, there are some up front costs - bank fee, dealer fee, first payment, tags/license - that you cannot avoid at lease signing.

According my calc the payment actually ends up being about the same ($4 more) with a 6% discount and base MF. The current sales price is an 8% discount off sticker, even if I back out the destination charge from the sticker price.

I'd obviously rather have the current selling price AND base MF, but I don't know how likely that is? We'll bring it up, for sure. We're not in a hurry and 2016s are plentiful at this point.

    Thank you very much!

If you don't ask, you don't get. You might want to get multiple Audi dealers involved; it only takes one to match your deal.

Hey - just wanted to see if this was a good deal or not

    2016 A3 1.8 Premium, 36/12k
    MSRP $34,215
    Sales price $29,318
Net Cap Cost: $31,428.13 (includes 6.25% taxes since we're in TX and $829 for Audi Care)
    Rebates: $1500
    Down payment: $0
    MF 0.00129
    Residual 59%
    Payment $379

I think we did well, though I think Audi Care was a little more than usual.

    Thanks,

Would you please provide MF and residual for a 2016 S3 Premium, 36 month/10K in Florida? Thanks!

In the 2015 Fourm I was given .00014 and 56% with the option to put an 1 security deposit that would lower the to MF to from .00014 .00009.

I assume the money factor for 2016's are higher and that the residuals are higher? Am I better off getting a lease on a 2015 or a 2016?

I also had a question on using the Edmunds lease calculator.
for "Vehicle Sales Price, or Capitalized Cost"- is this the negotiated sale price and is it with or without tax?
for "Lease Residual Value" - do I put 56% of the MSRP or Vehicle Sales Price? again with or without tax?

Where can I see what kind of offers people are receiving from dealerships?
    Thank you!

You'd have to run the numbers for both model years to see which is a better payment; you may be able to get more of a discount from sticker on the '15 to offset the lower residual.

No sales tax in the numbers used in the calculator - Florida taxes the payment each month. Residual is applied to the MSRP.

We don't track pricing, but you can use the tools here at Edmunds to help you determine what a good price is - "make / model / year" pulldowns at the top of the page.

Hello! First, thank you for the help and advice you provide within this forum!

I'm nearing the end of my VW lease and looking into leasing a 2016 A3. The local site has the 1.8 premium for 36 mos., 10K miles., $249 a month, $3299 down.

I need to verse myself in the leasing lingo again... Do you have the current residual and MF for Virginia?

    Thank you!

Wondering if I got a good deal.

2016 Audi A3 2.0TFSI Premium Plus with Tech package (MSRP 40,905).
    39 month 7,500mi/year lease

    $386/month
    $2522 + $1536 NYC Tax = $4058 due at signing

We would need to know selling price and CAP cost to evaluate it.

But, since you've already got it, no point in that. Congrats on the new car!
