Hi Michael, I have exchanged a few emails with the dealer to see what numbers he can give me on a 2015 Audi Q7 3.0T Premium Plus (Triptronic). Here are the details.
Price $59,915 MF 0.00132 Mileage 15k Residual 53% Looking to put very little down. I am thinking the upfront (title. registration etc.) will be around $1500. He is offering to pay the registration fee if I buy it on labor day wknd. I belive he is marking up the MF. Haven't started my negotiations so wanted to get an idea of what a decent deal will look like. I live in Las Vegas, NV (Tax 8.1%).

36/15 numbers are indeed .00132 and 53%.
Are you planning to roll the dealer and bank fees into the cap cost? That will still leave you with the first payment and registration - interesting that the dealer will discount the price to cover the registration costs.
So, is the $59,915 the MSRP or the selling price? We need both to model a payment - better still, get the net cap cost after all the fees and taxes have been added in.
no I didnt say I will get 10% off..its not possible ..Thats why I asked you based on final price $115K what monthly to expect based on above terms
MSRP of $116K, selling price of $115K, MF of .00149, 50% RV and 9.25% tax gets a lease payment of $2011.41.
7500 miles changes that to $1978.09.
Thanks man. I forgot though I will go ahead and trade in my RS5 4 months early than my lease exp date so I can use the equity towards the new RS7 lease.
My RS has 42900 res value but I see smae model and mileage are now close to $60K on KBB. SO I can get about 15-16K equity which I am going to put toward RS7.
That being said from MSRP of $115K car will drop to $98-99K if I put that equity toward..And then what monthly to expect for 36/10?? Less than $1500 based on those base MF and res?

If you get the trade equity you suspect from the RS5 and the net cap cost drops to $99K, the payment for the RS7 would be $1499.80 with tax.
However - we don't recommend using trade equity as a down payment. If the new car is stolen or totaled, you would lose that money. You might want to consider MSDs instead to buy down the MF.
And, I would double check all the numbers on your trade - might not be as much equity as you think. First, get the payoff value by calling AFS - at this point, the payoff is probably the residual value plus the remaining payments. Second, the trade value may be lower. As dealers always say "books (or websites) don't buy cars".
Head over to the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion and provide a full description of your car and you'll get a pretty good estimate on the trade value.
Best of luck, and keep us posted on how everything turns out. BTW, which dealer are you working with? A friend of mine has recently bought two Audis (S3 and S4) from Ed Carroll in Ft. Collins in the past few months and has been pretty happy with the experience.
Well yeah I know the equity wont be probably that much..most likely around 10-12K's but will see..Working with Audi Denver. Thanks for your help..this forum is a great buyers source!!

does this price sounds right?
Q7 seems to be an expensive vehicle to lease..
Which engine?
Yes the Q7 is expensive ... And the tax situation in Texas isn't doing you any favors, either.
Residual: 51% MF: 0.00139 Rebate: $2,750 $0 Down $929.78/monthly payment
Seems like the MF can be reduced down a bit? What other areas seem high to you? Thanks so much in advance for your advice.
George
I don't show S-Line numbers... Is this a Prestige package car?
If so, .00111 MF and 51% residual.
Sales tax is irrelevant, because CA doesn't tax the purchase price, just the upfront payments and the monthly payment. The calculations are pretty close, but of course, you don't have the NET cap cost. That's not a cheap vehicle to lease.
Thanks! Yes, it is a Prestige package car. Should have mentioned that. Sorry.
Is the net cap cost the same as the net sales price? If so, they rolled the taxes and fees in with the selling price of the car for a total of $67,991.15 (which also includes a trade payoff of $1,598 which I do not need them to do necessarily). Should they not have rolled the taxes into the net sales price?
i am shopping for 15 Q7 and below is the quote I got frok the local dealer.
Q7 premium plus carrera white cold weather/warm weather packages with 4 zone climate control MSRP on the vehicle is 58,207 offered price to sell 49500+tags+tags=52000 OTD VIHICLE registering in VA sales tax here is 4%.
do you guys think this is a good deal? Or should I ask for more dicount?

As noted, CA taxes the monthly payment, so the sales tax shouldn't be added into the selling price.
Net cap cost is the sales price plus any fees you choose to add into the lease payment.

You are getting a pretty substantial discount already ... but, if you don't ask, you won't know how low the dealer is willing to go. Use the pricing tools at the top of the page (make / model / year) to help with setting a target.

What is the MSRP and net cap cost?
What is the full breakdown of the $4000 due at signing?
The state is NY and taxe rate about 7.6%. the MSRP is about $58,000 and I don't know about the cap cost. The break down of $4,000 is about $1,700 for taxes, $1700 for bank fees, registration, DMV. Also the first payment is included in the down payment.

Without the net cap cost, I can't calculate a payment, but $600 feels about right for a $58K sticker price since none of your money due at signing is going to cap cost reduction.

Also, are there any incentives? Thanks in advance.

I confirm the .00132 and 55% for 36/12 - but, if you've added AudiCare, 1% should be added to the residual.
Using your MSRP and selling prices, along with the 56% residual, gives me a pre-tax payment of $618/mo
Where is the sales tax in this deal? NJ collects it up front - you either pay it with your other out-the-door costs or you roll it into the lease payment. Which did you choose?

Need help in deciding the lease for 2015 Q7 Premium plus. I am in Dallas TX area and have been working through area dealers. Below is the one quote I have..
36 months / 12k years
MSRP = 59,175
Selling Price = 52,175
Tax = 3369
title/doc fees = 359
total price - (out of door) = 55,900/-
Residual value = 32,546
credit = tier 1
down payment = 0
lease payment per month = $811.26 /-
They have not provided MF used in the calculation..
does this price sounds right?
Q7 seems to be an expensive vehicle to lease..
Yes the Q7 is expensive ... And the tax situation in Texas isn't doing you any favors, either.

I was wondering what your thoughts are of this quote I got today for a MY15 Q7 3.0T S Line here in Orange County, CA.
36mo/10k
MSRP: $65,395
Selling Price: $60,895
Fees: $619.75
Sales Tax: $4878.40
Residual: 51%
MF: 0.00139
Rebate: $2,750
$0 Down
$929.78/monthly payment
Seems like the MF can be reduced down a bit? What other areas seem high to you? Thanks so much in advance for your advice.
George
If so, .00111 MF and 51% residual.
Sales tax is irrelevant, because CA doesn't tax the purchase price, just the upfront payments and the monthly payment. The calculations are pretty close, but of course, you don't have the NET cap cost. That's not a cheap vehicle to lease.

Q7 premium plus carrera white
cold weather/warm weather packages with 4 zone climate control
MSRP on the vehicle is 58,207
offered price to sell 49500+tags+tags=52000 OTD
VIHICLE registering in VA sales tax here is 4%.
do you guys think this is a good deal? Or should I ask for more dicount?
thank you all for your input.
maddy
Net cap cost is the sales price plus any fees you choose to add into the lease payment.

The state is NY and taxe rate about 7.6%. the MSRP is about $58,000 and I don't know about the cap cost. The break down of $4,000 is about $1,700 for taxes, $1700 for bank fees, registration, DMV. Also the first payment is included in the down payment.

Jose
Thanks again!

I went to a NJ dealer today and this is what they offered me on Q73,0T Premium Plus..
Is this a good deal or can I still haggle for more?
Initial monthly they are asking is $684 but we wanted $650
So we met that halfway by giving them extra $500 ($13.8/month) in the drive out cost to give me that $650 monthly
36months/12K
msrp: $59,755
Residual: 55% / $32,865
MF: .00132 or 3.168
Negotiated price including 2500 rebate: $51,660plus?
NJ Tax 7%
plus 3yrs of AudioCare for $12month
plus excess/wear and tear $5month
Drive out cost is $2700 with the following:
Doc fee ($499)
bankfee(695)
DMV/title($312)
1stmonthpmt ($667)
supplemental fee (213)
Final monthly is $667..
thanks in advance for the feedback
Using your MSRP and selling prices, along with the 56% residual, gives me a pre-tax payment of $618/mo
Where is the sales tax in this deal? NJ collects it up front - you either pay it with your other out-the-door costs or you roll it into the lease payment. Which did you choose?
