General question, I know Chrysler Cap has a acquisition fee - but do they typically charge a security deposit for tier 1 credit? My dealer is saying they do and I did a Jeep lease a little over a year ago with Chrysler capital and there was never a security deposit.

I like to minimize upfront payments on a lease. It's a good way to see exactly how much the monthly cost is for the vehicle.

The standard MF from Chrysler is around .00200. Any MF lower than that is considered "discounted", and thus is exempt from the security deposit.

The MF we quote is for top tier credit - can't get any lower than that.

No MSD program available from Chrysler.

Here is a deal I have solidified:

$51,625 Selling price
$46,491.70 Cap Cost
Conquest rebate plus others
Dealer using non Chrysler bank for lease financing
MF .00114
Residual 52%
$0 down only first month due up front of $591.70 including 9% state/lease tax

Apparently bank allows for more rebates / discount to be used, even though MF much higher than Chrysler Financial. This is for a car currently being built per dealer / my order due to arrive late June. Even though I'm not a huge fan of the higher MF, I have had no luck getting a lower monthly payment / overall deal elsewhere despite many attempts and dealers in surrounding states. Closest is a $1400 lower $53,720 MSRP (no Advance but has BLIS) with $800 up front including 1st month payment and $589/month. So lower payment but slighly higher down $ for lesser vehicle.

Just wanted to share - open to comments, especially on the MF and strategies on how anyone has negotiated something from an outside bank lower.

Yes, 3rd party leases often have larger incentives to offset the lower residual and/or higher MF. If you're comfortable with the pre-tax selling price and the end payment, all is good.

I know this is the wrong way to do it, but I worked a few dealers on monthly lease price only and have one down to $385 a month 36/10k $2500 total out of pocket includes taxes, dmv, 1st month, etc. this is a 3rd vehicle so I was just throwing numbers out to see if anyone would come close, I have no intentions of buying the car out at the end of the lease.
I have no clue what MF or residual they are using but seems to me at this price per month, they must be discounting it rather nicely.

Either that, or they are using a 3rd party bank which has some nice incentives to go along with it.

Not a good idea to negotiate the payment; better to negotiate the selling price, then apply any incentives and run the numbers yourself.

No idea if that $385/mo quote could be even lower if you know all the numbers behind the calculation.

What are MF and residual for GC Overland High altitude with v8 engine. 36mos/15k miles in the San Diego area? Dealership is bein real fuzzy over the phone and I think they gave me the low tier credit MF of .00235 when they will see I have top tier credit when i apply

There is a 27 month program, but the numbers aren't viable this month.

They all lease about the same. Either the MF and residual are both high, or they are both low.

Avoid the Summit.

I've had 2 dealers come back and say that US Bank is the best financing they can offer on the lease. Why are they not quoting Chrysler Capital? Here is the one of those deals.
