Don't know all the numbers yet but I picked up a SLE today, Z71, SLE value pkg, tow pkg, V8, 2016 for $299/mo 36/10,000yr $299 down. Pick it up Monday

Hello, it's a double cab, standard box. I'm in W. NY. The sticker reads 45,705. Discounts/rebates got the price down to 37, something. Rolled the tax and fees in and it comes out to 299/mo. Top tier credit. Sales person said the incentives were still on for Aug but inventory was getting low and no more 2016s were shipping here. Good luck.

Nope I don't have a truck picked out yet. I went to my local dealer today and they tried selling me an slt that I did not want for 3k under sticker for 39/m at 640/m...w 3k out of pocket...horrible. I guess if you could offer a ball park deal, with good discounted price that I should shoot for. Is the average discount like 6-8k off msrp? I'm looking for a 24/m or 27/m lease, 12k miles. In a perfect world is like to get an all terrain crew cab for under $350/m lease. Is that unobtainable?

We don't track prices, so no idea if $350/mo is feasible.

Again, we'd need to know the MSRP and negotiated selling price to calculate a payment.

Lease numbers for all 4x4 crew cabs (except Denali trim) is .00011 and 64% (24/12) or 63% (27/12)

None of the brands lease well for pickups. Even with the big discounts, the high MF negates most of that savings.

Its an SLE, but with the value package it's so close to an SLT it doesn't matter.

Ok, thank you, here are the numbers I have, correct me if I did this wrong

MSRP: 57,730
Sale price: 43,298
Sales tax is: 5.6%
Down payment: None

I got 225.60 a month for a 36 month lease, 12,000 miles a year. Is that correct using the MF and residual value that you provided? It seems too low, but that is what I got with the numbers you provided. Any info would be appreciated as I am going to look at the truck on Tuesday.

Ah, probably includes incentives that won't work for a lease. Call the dealer and ask for the adjusted cap cost.

Well that's a bummer, it doesn't say that anywhere in the fine print. I'm going to stop by the dealership anyways and take a look at it. Might be able to work out a deal with them possibly. Right now that dealership has a 25% off MSRP on all remaining 2016 Sierra's. It doesn't say anything about it being only for purchase and not for lease.

Correct.. on the lease, the incentive is built into that really high residual.

I thought I was going to get a steal on that truck. Figured it had to be too good to be true. I'm still going to the dealership tomorrow to see what kind of price I can get on it. I would like to keep my monthly payment under 400.

It's common to see advertised prices, then customers find out that if they want to lease, oops, that price doesn't work. Lots of brands do this, not just GM

Well I talked to the dealer on the phone, the truck I wanted had sold. I tried to get them to give me a better price on a different truck. The sales manager called me back and told me I had to come in before we could talk numbers. The dealership is an hours drive for me so I wanted to get a price set before I went there and wasted either of our times. He told me that there were residuals and money factors that needed to be figured. I told him that I knew what they were, and I stated them to him. 2 seconds later he told me the truck that we were going to try and make a deal on was sold a few hours before I called. He then hung up the phone on me. I'm not sure exactly what happened, maybe I had too much info on how the deal works. Anyways, the search will continue and I guess I will have to go about my next deal a little differently. Definitely will be going through a different dealership as well. Thanks for the info on residuals and money factors. It's nice to know some info before you go into leasing a new vehicle.

Probably too much information for him to process.

I wouldn't be so blatant about sharing the MF and residual information, next time. Be up front about your desire to lease, negotiate your best price, then plug in all the numbers into a calculator (I've got an .xls file on my phone) and compare to the dealers numbers. If different, be polite and tell them you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF. You don't have to quote the actual number to them; they know what the base rate is.

And, some dealers are still stuck in the 1980's - best to find one that will be transparent with you.
