    I never liked the looks of the 262c, but I really liked the 780 Bertone. I would take one of them.

    Maybe the ~1950 Mopar (I assume Dodge or Plymouth) with the passenger side doors open, towards the middle of the pic?

    Newest might be the Falcons or ~61 T-Bird nosing in at far left.

    The picture was taken in Butler PA, ca.1961. Arizona now only requires a rear plate.

    Most likely that is the oldest car it could possibly even be 1949 MY. Next oldest would be the old Fords that look like '52 or '53 cars. There's the red/white wagon on the left and the blue sedan on the right towards the back.

    Newest might be the Falcons or ~61 T-Bird nosing in at far left.

    Good eye on the '61 'Bird, interestingly both Falcons are '61s also.

    FWIW i think the teal/white Ford at the top is a '56 Crown Vic.

    That red & white station wagon in the far end of the car park is a Ford, and I guess about 52-54. I used to regularly see similar one - same colours - in South London every few weeks, but while it may still be around, I don't go that way so often now so wouldn't see it.

    I think it is funny how you have number plates just at the rear in some states. Everyone here in Europe has them at both ends as far as I am aware. Parking and speeding cameras and road tolls depend on a mixture of both I would imagine, and the almost universal numberplate tracking on our main roads probably does too.

    Most Murkan states and I think all Canuckistanian provinces have mandated front plates, but a number of US states are still holdouts, especially as one moves south and east. The laws also seem to have lax enforcement, especially on higher end cars (as justice definitely has a socio-economic factor) - I suspect 50% of the Tesla demographic in my area runs without a front plate, and there's apparently no penalty.

    The Orwellian surveillance grid isn't on this side of the pond just yet, but it is just a matter of time.

    Tolls - now there is a place where Congress could actually help Americans by standardizing toll passes across the states. It can be a real pain when traveling.

    I just meant as a unified paying system or direction that all states must accept each other's toll pass. Not looking for the feds to run it all. Nothing prohibits Congress from passing legislation along either of these lines.

    That'll happen the same day the nation has unified license plate standards.

    No doubt every toll system is 100% incompatible with every other toll system. The hardware and software for each no doubt provided by the spouses or brother in laws of appointed unfireable cradle-to-grave "authorities" who know what is best for you.

    Some interchange like I-Pass and EZ Pass. I'm even more cynical than you. I think some of the states are in cahoots with the rental car companies that charge a daily fee for a toll pass whether you use it daily or not. Also, given there are seldom toll takers anymore, people who unexpectedly run into an electronic toll get banged with fees from the respective state(s) on top of the unpaid toll.

    Never thought of it as all that muscular but by the standards of the day, not too bad in Euro form.

    Bentley S2 Continental, somewhat valuable today.

    re: 560 SEC - not a powerhouse by 2017 standards, but I think it had around 240hp for the US version, 275hp for Euro. In 1986, that was respectable.

    You have to truly admire the 560SECs build quality but I personally would not want to live with one.

    I think the biggest issue with those cars now is maintenance costs, and economy. They have to cost a bit to keep on the road, but can't be beat in terms of quality and elegant design.

    If I was to get one, it would need to be a well preserved original in a good color combination (diamond blue over creme/beige, please), or a tuned model. AMG or Koenig Special etc models have some value.

    Apparently it's both, the ad lists it as a 1955 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe DeVille.. I've seen this car in person as it belongs to the father of a friend and it's a real beauty complete w Kelsey-Hayes wires>

    Perhaps not, IIRC there should be a sensor for it mounted near the corner of the windshield.
